I find it laughable that everyone is suddenly acting as if Lua Lua is distinctly average. All I heard the last couple of weeks is "if we sign Kazenga, we'll definitely be pushing for promotion."

So what's changed? Jamie Smith playing well in a FRIENDLY? Wasn't his last albeit brief appearance in the 7-1 thrashing at Huddersfield? Interesting he never got picked after that.

I've no doubt most of you are just covering your tracks in case he doesn't sign. It is ok to admit that you're gutted though, from the way some of you harped on about him, I would be!

NSC rule number 7.1
No two players that play in a similar position can BOTH be good at the same time. One has to be shit hot, the other shit.

see Kuipers/Brezovan. Murray/Forster. Dicker/Navarro

I think everyone would be gutted if we didn't sign Lua Lua, but we shouldn't have to wait another few weeks to find out an answer which still could be no. We should be looking at other wingers because Lua Lua is starting to look unlikely at the moment.

Don't really need a palace fan to tell me how I can and cannot feel thanks.
This new breed of f***ing boring Palace fans posting banal shit are so, well, boring and banal. What happened to the the ones with good banter, the wind up merchants, the genuinely hateful and stupid?
There was never a rivalry built on tediousness.

I concur.

And with this also. Hopefully the tediocre Palace posts will dry up once Falmer is built and we breeze past their crap club with their crumbling rented "stadium".

This is Brighton we're talking about right? The same Brighton who have been in our shadow for the best part of 30 years?

It would be nice to thump you 5-0 again though at some point so I'm all for you getting promoted once and once only.

We can dream...

I won't disagree with any of that. But next year, it's our turn. For 30 years.

Our catchment area is going as far north as Redhill as soon as our space age stadium gets built. Meanwhile, your ground is a decrepid MESS, your team is shit, and you have no money. Oh, and there's a ruddy good chance that you're going down next season whereas we will go up if we move at all.

Time to get used to being absolute shit again and getting used to derbies with Charlton. To be honest, they'd love you as a rival.

It works two ways Bobby, I'd like to know what happened to the Brighton fans who were happy to sign up to our messageboards or merely give banter in general when we were fighting off administration and relegation. Most of them are nowhere to be seen now, a shame really as this derby needs banter from both sides but I guess we'll have to wait...

You're right about Charlton, they must of loved reigniting the derby temporarily by sending us down. I can't see them getting promoted anytime soon so I can't see that ever taking off again.

Speaking of catchment areas, there are plenty of Palace fans in Sussex. As for areas like Redhill, the only fans I see there are Chelsea and the occasional Palace shirt, certainly no Brighton nor a great deal of potential.

Our ground isn't great, but lets be honest it's not a decrepid mess is it? Compared to Falmer possibly, but we don't need a new stadium immediately.

We're debt free (for now) so all the skint digs will have to be rethought, you can go back to calling us pikey scum etc etc?

Im from Reigate, there is a few of us in the area. If all you see is palace around here then you must just be visiting the Weatherspoons OAP lunchtime club, thats where they are to be found usually - with the rest of the cheap pikeys.
