Looking forward to this - sounds like it's going to highlight exactly how the Glazers are effectively raping them

The Glazers are a group of dispicable parasites who are slowly sucking the life out of that club, sending them on a downward spiral of debt and mediocrity.

Lovely stuff.

The Glazers know that the real money will be made in few years time when live matches will be available over t'internet.

They will earn a bundle in the far east

One of the very real reasons why they purchased MUFC however everyone else seems to think very differently.

True enough. In a few years time the top 3 or 4 English clubs will be negociating their own TV rights, and the owners of these clubs will earn millions of dollars. This is squarely where the Glazers intend to be.

If they are allowed to negotiate their overseas internet rights at least, I've seen some stats that show that Manchester United can make as much money over a couple of high profile games than they do over a whole season currently.

Whether that will ever be allowed to happen is another story.

Let's face it, if this was just about any club or company, people would be sympathetic to the stakeholders.

But it's Man United, so the sheep will laugh and make snide comments, bragging about how much better we are at protesting where possible. I don't hear anyone laughing at all the people who were affected when MG Rover collapsed and their bastard owners still raked it in.

Ultimately, without Dick Knight this club wouldn't have been saved. You need someone who can afford to get rid of the owners - it's a lot easier to find a millionaire than a multi-billionaire. That's why the Glazer's are still there, which is doing no good for anyone apart from them.

When someone comes in to buy a club, what f***ing checks are made FFS!!

Despite feelings about this club or that club, english football needs sorting out ala Platini comments some two years ago!!

And that's the most alarming thing really - it could happen to any club.

Makes you appreciate our millionaire chairman supporter a bit more really.

the sheep will laugh and make snide comments

For goodness sake, will you stop going on about the bloody sheep simply because an opinion does not align with yours! Didn't you admit to supporting Man Utd (as your first team) until Brighton moved to Withdean? Wouldn't that make you slightly biased on this sort of issue?

Manchester United are not a football club first and foremost. They were a leading party in commercialising football and reaped huge benefits from becoming a PLC which left them open to takeovers and at the mercy of market forces. They are the red devils. They are not the only crass enterprise in football, but they are up there at the top of the league.

i think it will be a problem for football if Man U have serious financial trouble, if only because of the knock on effects it might have on others. you may not have realised but our wealthy benefactor chairman might be outlawed (for Champions League, but who knows if it will effect EPL, FL too) in a responce to the authorities to control clubs spending "too much", related to the money involved and the debt of large clubs.

I have to say that Panorama tonight shows how badly English Football (especially) EPL is being run and things need to change urgently!!
