I prefer the other thread. Righteous indignation is more fun than agreeing with the decision.

Hahaa, just after I was GOBBING OFF at the FL's incompetence on the other thread.
EXCELLENT decision. Whether they appeal will obviously now hinge now on whether they get relegated on Saturday or not.

Good, good. Now they just need to sort their rules out because, in effect, we will now have only played 45 games this season.

(see, we can fit in righteous indignation, whatever the result  )

Leaves them 1 point above relegation zone, with Tranmere at Stockport (3 points is a huge possibility in a game that means nothing for Stockport), Exeter at home to Huddersfield (Exeter good at home, Huddersfield poor away and only playing for play off position) and Hartlepool playing away at Brentford, i wouldnt be at all suprised if Hartlepool were relegated saturday.

What's the betting they get relegated, appeal the decision in 28 days time, and get the points back, meaning Exeter or Tranmere go down instead

Then Exeter or Tranmere appeal the decision and it gets over turned again. Resulting in a summer of chaos over shadowing Englands World Cup win.

I wonder if Ken Brown will be asking for our fans to be recompensed for admission money?

No, course he won't! Fans are just mugs who shell out and reap the consequences.

Surely we should be awarded the game!

You say half in jest I know, but what if Liddle had scored the winner in that match ?
Should the punishment (and lack of benefit for us) be any different just because he didn't make the scoresheet ?

Good point. I have three bets on us finishing top half too.

Joke decision, we should join forces with Hartlepool and demand a replay. I want those three points. FA and FL = Joke

:US:

Will this do?

This is Gus' point and I agree with him.

What if it's a cup game?
What if it had been the previous game where Liddle scored two in a 2-0 win?
The rule has to be in place, so even though we were by all accounts shite at Hartlepool that's not the issue.

I think you will find if Leeds lose and other results go Town's way, if they win by 4 clear goals, they go up automatically, so I don't think Hudds are playing "only...for play off position"
