Did anyone say Albion Ultras? ???

This is what we need, a hundred or so nutters waving flags, singng throughout and dare I say it banging drums. People have just got in the habbit of going to Withdean and sitting in near silence for 90 minutes, if this attitude is brought to Falmer it will be a similar atmosphere just with more people.

The H block faithfull try to raise an atmosphere but when every other fan on the south stand just looks at them like their wild animals without making any effort to join in singing you can't blame them for being a little subdued.

Our home form is taking us to the fourth division FACT and in my opinion us fans are to blame and before anyone bangs on about it being the players fault for not giving us anything to sing about week in week Albion fans turn up in very respectable numbers to away matches and no matter how useless we might be give the team TREMENDOUS vocal support, this season the team has repaid us with one of the best away records in this league!

I'd say to anyone who wants to create an atmosphere at Withdean, just get off your arse, move to H & J block where you can contribute to the atmosphere without being glared at by some middle class mute, wearing a peter storm rain jacket stinking of thousand island dressing.

yeah i see the f.a. telling the kop to sit don every week. Afraid we are saddled with Ken Brown and his recod at Millwall speaks for itself Wall fans couldnt stand him and now e have a similar angle going on at albion. Sit down shut up and all ticket away games for no reason.

If everyone just refused to sit down the stewards would have to throw everyone out. (thats not going to happen) Next time that fat steward comes over just tell him to f*** off if EVERYONE does the same or just ignores him there is nothing he, the Police or the club can do about it.

The reason Liverpool, tottenham and other fan stand throughout games is because they won't be told otherwise if people are so passionated about standing at the football grow a pair of balls and do so.

Its easy to blame the ground.

The Dell was a shit pit but it didnt stop Southampton being successful, at the end of the day the players are just not good enough

Perhaps not in all sctions of the ground but there are certainly areas where people are on their feet for long periods of the game.

Now Croydon Seagull, the first thing to learn is that if westdene seagull says something then it must be right! I know you know that they stand for long periods at Spurs, Liverpool, Pompey, Leeds ect ect and I know it as well, but that is not the point. Westdene seagull is still right. Hope my grammar and spelling meet with your approval also westdene seagull. Millwall's punters were so wrong about ken Brown and people moaning about the Brighton's stewards are just wrong because westdene seagull says so. Don't these customers know that everyone else, especially westden seagull and Ken Brown know what is best for them and that they should be told what to do, how to buy a ticket, how to attend the game, when to cheer, how to travel, who to go with and how sneeze?

like f***, you might be but my grandad worked on the docks, another a laborer, the coastal towns and inland sussex is not middle class. The club is to blame for employing people to tell fans to sit down every time they stand up. As such, what do they expect?

Sorry mate, but Sussex is middle class from East to West , North to South. Yes, you get a few folks, such as your grandparents, who should have tried harder at school and have to take lesser jobs, but the fact that they lived in Sussex so that the middle class majority could prop them up only supports my argument.

:US: At least when your spelling and grammar are correct it's possible to follow what you're trying to say. I really don't get what your issue with Ken Brown is ? The reason Millwall fans don't like him is because he banned the thugs - as most Millwall fans are brainless thugs it meant alot of them could no longer go. He's done nothing like that here - agreed he's made the odd mistake but everyone does. You seem to blame him for the club enforcing Football League policies, the law and the conditions of the safety certificate.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
A lot of it went wrong when they moved the away fans. Shame that they can't be given the Family Stand and East Stand when attendances allow and relocate the Family stand to the South Stand.

:lolol: . Neither social history or local demographics your strong point. In those days the working class went straight to work, so schooling was something that ended at about 11. So mate, the working class of the time, unlike yourself didn't have the opportunity of an education to waste. Education and a health service for the working people didn't really happen until after WW2. How the coastal towns and ports can be described as middle class is bizarre. Newhaven, Hastings, East Brighton, Portslade...ect ect, middle class? Its like saying derby is middle class because its in lovely Derbyshire. But still, you were only on a wind up anyway, so er well done, not sure why you enjoy it but er, hope you did

Does anyone else think we should move the south and family stands onto the running track and closer to the pitch

Harty and I suggested that on the phone in a few years ago.

Er, that might be because they've been playing shit recently ???

Btw I sat in C block yesterday and it was quite quiet, apart from some deserved lino-haranguing and the moany old fu*ker sitting behind me being told to shut up by someone who'd had enough of his carping...

Oh, and the footy was pony...

Couldn't have put it better myself.
The apologists are out in force trying to explain away the worst home record in history. Oh yes...its the fans sitting in silence failing to lift the team. My arse !!!...What a load of bollocks...do you really think anyone believes that crap.
What fans should be looking at is..how our team has the 4th best away record in the division but has played 13 home games and not played well in any of them !!!!!!!
Well, a good place to start would be to look at the character of certain players. Are they genuine ? Have some already made up their minds that they don't like playing at home...a mindset that is reflected in their performances. Every team that comes to Withdean know that if they go a goal up, they win the game. Away from home, if we go a goal down, we seem to have the desire to fight back. At home, we continually play at a level of about 70-75% of away performance.
The fans have been shortchanged by the players all season at Withdean but now we find out that it is our fault.

Couldn't agree more. With one or two exceptions (Zamora and Paul Watson's sweet left foot being obvious ones), the two Championship sides didn't have any more ability than the current bunch. But what they did have in spades was character and commitment, and that transmitted itself to the crowd and fired them up accordingly. I never really rated Oatway as a footballer on a technical level, but he more than made up for it with his passion, something that seems lacking in today's team. And can you imagine Cullip letting his fellow defenders get away with the basic errors at the back we have seen this season?

Wouldn't it make the 100 metres a little tricky? ???

b. IT'S THE LAW - Anfield ignoring it doesn't change the law.

Do you ever speed?

If the answer is 'never' then you are a boring arse who is part of the problem at Withdean! It may be the law, but it doesn't mean it is not an ass!
