Listening to the phone-in last night, people were saying "everyone else around us are sacking their managers, why aren't we?"

Why is the fact we stick with the manager not seen as a positive thing?

I for one am proud that instead of booting our manager out with the hope it will turn our season around, we have remained with Adams (by we, I mean as a club) to give him the chance to rectify. Why is it seen that having a new manager will fix things and mean we'd end up in a better position?

I used to think Brighton was different to other clubs, the board, manager, players and fans were united, and even through the not so good times people didn't turn on the other, but it seems we're just like the rest of them.

And before people say they have the right to moan and want the manager out after the time he's been given, the 'Adams out' started as soon as September. I think at the very least, a manager should be given a season.

Just a shame they've backed the wrong horse really.

The squad now is the squad we had last season, so it is down to the manager to make them play like they did last year. Last year we were not great to watch, this year we are not great to watch.

The difference is that we won games we should have drawn, and drew games we should have lost. This year, nothing seems to be happening at all.

I wouldnt be upset if Adams left, but continuity and stability is what we need to avoid relegation. That involves pretty much the same set up on the pitch, as well as the manager and back room staff then so be it. This year we were building our team around loan players that couldnt play ever game. It is not a great season, but success now lies in avoiding relegation.

I never once thought that we would be in a relegation battle no matter how shit we are playing, but we are now relying on things like Southend scoring in the 6th minute of injury time to keep us up.

Changing the manager probably wouldnt help our cause, but if we did do it, it would have to be now, just so it gives the new bloke some chance during the transfer window, and not fill our team with loans.

I agree with you, but I'd like to see Mickey come out with more harsh words for his players, trying to fire them up, rather than excuses like "That was LEEDS we lost to you know".. that is unacceptable.

Someone just needs to play him a tape of what he was like when he was first here, calling people southern fairies and the like. Then kick him up the arse and tell him to sort his life out.

I don't like the idea of firing a manager every season either, it's stupid. But Mickey's at least got to show willing, which at the moment, he's not really..

Absolutely. I still believe if we had stuck by McGhee we would be better off now but the fans saw to that one. A better manager than both Wilkins and Adams in my opinion.

I was really disapointed to see McGhee go, I thought he was a good manager. Once again people forget the success of not only taking us to the Championship, but keeping us there for the following season. Things went slightly wrong, and the fans turned.

No that's a ridiculous point. Like I said I would give the manager at least a season. Some of the players he has to work with are perhaps just about good enough to be in league 2, some of the others worse than that, he may as well have me playing! From the squad, keep Kuipers, Sullivan, Hinshlewood, Elphick, Hawkins, McLeod, Livermore, Murray, Forster, Virgo, get rid of the rest, get some decent players in and then see what he and the team can do.

Yet you were glad they did not stick by Wilkins.

Nothing like a good case of double standards.

Nope, no double standards here. I didn't like him as a manager. He had practically two years to show what type of manager he was, and I didn't think he was a very good one, regardless of the league position for ONE season.

Just shows that you really do not know what you are talking about, again.

How you can think Adams is the right man, well it should surprise me, sadly it does not.

The fans were on Micky's back the minute it started to go down hill

The problem is, that if Dean Wilkins had walked away, there would be far more tolerlence of situation now.

Whatever opinions of Wilkins are, the fact they sacked a manager who on the field was taking us forward, replacement him with a man who on the field is taking us backwards, means they cannot expect nothing but disgrunted fans.

I bet you with hindsight, Dick Knight is deeply regretting what he did, but unfortunately he's got to live with it, and take the stick he's getting.

I love to eat humble pie if Micky turns it around, but I think he's had more than enough time, and as performances AND result s continue to take us towards the fourth division, he has to go.

Another person with no valid point to make, so criticises punctuation or spelling. Doesn't know what he's talking about with regards to football because he missed a couple of commas? It was actually a good point, but as you don't happen to agree and cannot counter it, you come up with lame shit like this.
