Seagulls fans flocked to The Argus website to quiz the coach on his plans for the future - including Falmer stadium and achieving the Premier League dream.
More than 60 questions and comments were posted in just an hour.
Speaking about the club's ambitions, Adams said: "Having signed a three-year contract my obvious ambition and planning is geared towards getting the football club into the Championship, at the new stadium.
"Obviously the stadium project is very exciting and will take the club forward and will benefit the football club in lots of ways, not least of all attracting better quality of players to it.
"After that, once we are established in the Championship, the dream of the Premiership can be achieved."
Adams enjoyed a successful first spell in charge of the club, guiding the team out of the basement division.
But he left to take an assistant manager's job at Leicester City, who were then in the Premier League.
Quizzed on whether he would show more loyalty if similar circumstances arose, he said: "A lot of my ambitions have been fulfilled since I left the Albion, and what I want to do now is establish myself at a football club and take it forward.
"I don't want to sound as if I'm lacking ambition, but my goals now as a more experienced manager, are geared towards a football club - Brighton - than my personal ones."
The inquisition even attracted a fan of Albion's arch-rivals Crystal Palace, who wondered whether the 2010 season was realistic target for the club to be playing at Falmer.
Adams replied: "The chairman is confident we'll be playing at Falmer in 2010.
"Regarding Withdean, in my first spell at the club we made it a real fortress, and we'll be hoping to do that again this season."
