Im not being cocky, but we SHOULD have won by more than 2 goals if we could finish properly and you didnt look like scoring (apart from the open goal) .

We should have played ALOT better than we did and we will HAVE to imporove before next week (which im sure we will). I just dont think that it was undeserved!!

Did you actually have any chances that you didn't finish? Certainly not within 20 yards.

Like I said you deserved it but it was far from convincing.

EDIT: Actually I do remember one, Brett beat us over the top once and put it just wide.

I blazed over, and should've done better with another chance. Brett shot narrowly wide, Barrett had one or two shots, Walmsley cocked one up.

Not enough chances created really.

We had a few half chances from distance and a few good bits of play near your box that should have ended in chances.

It was a poor game if we are all honest but lets take the positives from this and learn from the negatives and move on!!

There were a fair few positives to take from the game to be fair, you did defend well and played some good football in the midfield area. Was just missing the killer pass at times.

You deserved to beat us (and so you should given the ridiculous difference in talent between the two sides). Ill have to find some better strikers next time round though!

I would say 2-0 was a fair result. You had some chances but not that many, a fair few restricted to distance. We has a few where our forwards were put through but to be fair we didn't have a lot of presence up front and Sheebo was pretty immense for you lot.

Apart from Walmsley walking away and giving our player shit under his breath despite the fact that it was an amazing tackle and the squaring up I thought it was all played in good spirits especially as there was no ref. Few mistimed tackles (I remember catching Barrat late) but most people realised it was a friendly.

we may have been rubbish, but it was a deserved victory - i cant remember having to make one testing save at the end of the day

it was a decent run out, and as rumble has said we still have some of our better players to come back in

Where are the PLAYER RATINGS?

Ok, as i'm bored.

McCarthy 6. Didn't have much to do. One good save. Looked like he had too much dinner last night. Could start on Friday

Walmsley 6. Solid enough. Tried to do too much with the ball at times. Possible starter on Friday

Morris 7. Good game, ruined only by an injury. Should play on Friday at the back alongside Paul Rogers

Edmonds 0. Would've been on course for a good score until his show of petulance at the end

Jenkins 5. Talks a good game. Will have to improve for Friday if he plays

Rumble 5. Should've scored

Coleman 7. Good game as usual

Healey 5. Did ok out of position

Barrett 6. Can play much better. Was an achievement to stay on the pitch for the whole game

Mendoza 6. Did ok considering lack of support.

Clayton 6. Best Clayton on the pitch by a country mile. Did well considering he is 12

Not a bad game, fairly evenly matched all in all.

There should have been more shots on target though - the goals were full sized and the keepers were not!

I almost came on as sub, count yerselves lucky

Oh, and I buttered up mendoza on his brace, while he was walking behind the N.Stand...with 2 professionals (no, not coppers) - he HAS to feel good about that.

Chris - can you put your team line up on here?

Seeing as Chris hasn't, I'll do it - can't remember the usernames though

From memory, the starting line up:

GK: Nick (Chris' brother - not sure if he is on here)
RB: Me
LB: Jaz
CB: Chris
CB: John
RM: Sam
LM: ...bollocks, I can't think of his name!
CM: Carl
CM: Jason (My housemate)
ST: Tom (My housemate)
ST: Niall

Some one else will have to sort the usernames for you - I appreciate it's probably not much help like this

Not sure I entirely agree with your ratings there Rumble.

I would have given your whole defence 6 with Edmonds getting a 7 despite the petulance.

I would also give your whole midfield 6 as I thought you and Max had quietly effective games, both put in a few tackles and used the ball sensibly.

McCarthy and Mendoza both however get 1 and 2 respectively.

Ratings for NSC

Nick 7 - Was one of our better players, made some good saves but needed to be quicker off his line a few times

Sam (Shaulinpunk) 6 - Not sure he is usually a RB but was solid and tried to use the ball sensibly

Kris ( Da Man Clay) 6 - As usual rock solid in the air and cleared a lot of danger

John 7 - NSC's best player. For a CF he was a damn good CB. Won nearly every header, showed pace and used the ball well

Jaz 6 - His height and running were slightly wasted at LB but with John I would say one of our better players. Took the play to them even if he tried to hard at times

Sam 5 - Looked a little lost first half but after half time team talk stuck to his task and closed down well

Carl (Les Biehn) 6 - Gayest player on the pitch, but pretty much the only midfielder actually communicating with the rest of his team

Jason 6 - Good running at their team if a tendancy to over elaborate.

Stuart 6 - Looked unhappy on the left but was more effective when moved to the middle. Used the ball well

Tom 5 - Lots of running but finishing let him down. Missed a glaring open goal

Niall 5 - Same as Tom, lots of running but needed to be stronger and more clinical

Got to say as a team we did very well considering a gulf in ability and the fact we have never played together before. Made it difficult for them and only that bit of quality shone through in the end.

To be honest we were poor but with a centre forward who played off the last man and challenged the NSC's centre backs we would have won by miles.

No slight on our nipper up front who put some cracking balls in and linked up well but someone like Kaney of Beefy upfront with Brett would have made a huge difference.

As far as defending goes - the only real save Scott had to make was when he slid out to a player who was at least five yards off-side...

And as for Sheebo's petulance what was the big deal? He fouled someone and the guy got up and started squaring up to him. It happens and it was sorted out quite quickly. Bad tackle, over the top reaction from the NSC player.

Other than that, as someone else said I think it was played in a good (ish) spirit considering the lack of a ref.

Cheers Richie! I suppose I could have got some people booked at least. :D

The injury feels a lot better and I should be ok for whatever role Mr Rumble wants me to do on Friday.
