It would be truly bizarre if UEFA didn’t ask for more information!! Surely that must have been one of the follow-up actions from the meeting a few weeks ago?
I’m not sure how that is a boost to their hopes, to be honest. By asking for further information several weeks later, says to me UEFA are having doubts.

How is asking for more information a 'boost'? A few days ago, Palace fans thought they were in the clear.

I do think they'll get in, although the Drogheda expulsion does set a precedent and UEFA wouldn't want to be seen as acting discriminatly.

The CAS hearing (tomorrow?) on the Drogheda case may have a say on their final decision?

This is probably why UEFA are holding off announcing a palace decision. They don't want to give Drogheda the chance to ask awkward questions at CAS like "why are we out and palace aren't?"
Tbf, If Drogheda are banned and Palace aren’t, that will give Forest the chance to ask awkward questions too!

So, unlike certain media outlets (Sky Sports etc), the Guardian are not taking their information on this story direct from Palace.

"Drogheda responded by saying they will take the matter to Cas, and the Palace case also appears destined to be decided by the court in Lausanne."

Whilst my view has shifted somewhat, and I now feel Palace will scrape into the Europa League, this is not done and dusted just yet.
