Seems like a thread of people commenting on an interesting article about a local club so they can have a pop at Tories, The Telegraph, The Mail, critics of woke ideals, and very little about the content from reading it or from local, maybe informed knowledge. Oh, hang on, they won't have read it. How very NSC. Must admit, I read the article and made my own judgements on a local club that's struggling. How very naive of me.

Please: use their correct title (as per the Daily Mail website today) of Woke FC.

Obviously they were gleefully reporting that Lewes are struggling to continue, due to their overwhelming WOKENESS resulting in them being a financial disaster.

I didn't bother reading the comments, mainly because they would have been from complete twats.
Yes, no mention that when the BBC spoke to 31 non league clubs recently, 29 reported they were in financial difficulties.

Which would be a great argument if they then generated the same money from gate receipts etc, but they don’t
They pretty much did until last season, attendances slightly higher for men's, ticket prices the same

Match day tickets are/were, season tickets not( but the women have half the games)
They both work out at £10.50 a game ? That’s the same?

Not me. That genuinely was never my intention, but you made it clear you didn't believe me and sadly still don't. I'm not saying any more as it will upset Zeberdi.

Not really. Just calling out your bleating about all the bad people on NSC saying nasty things about your favourite right wing rags. Not unexpected of course.

Nothing more to say really.
Wow. I read all the 'rag's for balance. But I'm not surprised you've run out of words. Stick to the pictures.

But people earn more based on the revenue they bring in. Top Camogie players earn a fraction of the salary of top footballers, because nobody watches or gives a shit about camogie.

In Lewes’s case, it isn’t so much the attendances which are fairly equal across both teams, but all the other expenses incurred with running two professional clubs simulataneously when all the other expenses are taken into account.

It was hugely ambitious and well meant, but completely impractical from a business perspective.
Quite. Think the women probably brought way more money into the club than the men when they were in T2. Certainly Lewes wouldn't have got a nice new pitch without them because the FA paid for it. I also understand potential women's sponsors were put off when told their funds would be equally split between men and women.

The equal budget thing needs to be considered in the light of the women being full time (when in the championship) and the men part time too, so it was never truly 'equal' anyway.

Probably about the same in Lewes' case
