Sorry have I missed something?
What has ended?
Nothing has ended yet, I said IF. But there are plenty of reports online that we are "allowing" him to leave. Everton and Celtic are the strongest rumours, some suggesting it's a done deal to Celtic.

We had a good go at Gykores. How many young strikers have we ruined? Connolly (although I suspect the blame is shared), Ferguson's problems have come from injuries and an inability to get into the side.
Am I missing swathes of ruined young strikers?
Did we? He seems to be doing pretty well for himself. We had a good go at Gykores.
We would surely need a massive sell-on if he went there.Celtic would be a good move for him, but cant see them stumping up much more than £10m.
Their record signing is just over 16m.Celtic would be a good move for him, but cant see them stumping up much more than £10m.
If we could work a pre season friendly at the Amex into the agreement also that would be a bonus. We would surely need a massive sell-on if he went there.
In addition, because we probably owe money on O'Riley, they might be willing to pay a higher fee than we think.
I doubt they'd need to.Celtic would be a good move for him, but cant see them stumping up much more than £10m.
It is if the club dont trust he can overcome whatever is wrong. Would represent another £25m profit in our quest for the FFP cup.£20-30 million is not a good deal.
Should 'of' gone to Celtic last season and banged in goals for fun. Still should. It's clearly not an ability thing, it's a confidence thing. Playing a bit-part role at West Ham did him no favours, just prolonged the agonyEvan needed a run and service in the team. He doesnt fit our style of play. He is so far behibd what Welbeck does.
I can’t see anyone offering anywhere near that for him. For whatever reason he has been terrible for the last two years and hasn’t shown any signs of improvement.Need to keep him, half season loan to a potential top 3 championship club and then back here for drive to the end of season finish line. If he works he is a rare commodity and getting £20-30 million is not a good deal.
Even more reason then to keep him.I can’t see anyone offering anywhere near that for him. For whatever reason he has been terrible for the last two years and hasn’t shown any signs of improvement.
I don't think it's a blind spot, I just think our managers have wanted a lot more out of a striker than just shooting. You look at the all round game of players such as Pedro, Rutter, Kostoulas and Tzimas and they are very different profiles to Ferguson who is much more like Chris Wood (but better at shooting).Convinced he’ll be the next Gyokeres in the sense of being allowed to leave on the cheap and then worth huge amounts in a couple of years. We seem to have a blind spot regarding this sort of out and out striker.
Er.... no we didn'tWe had a good go at Gykores.
