Has he renamed his farm yet after he got called out for using it as a tax dodge then crying when the loophole got closed?
Couple of points :Each to his own.
I caught a bit of an old Top Gear recently. I used to love the programme. But there was a whiff of something from Clarkson I didn't like, something I had perhaps chosen to ignore at the time.
So I'm going to keep him on ignore, along with other 'flawed' but interesting characters, such as Joey Barton, Gervais himself (and Dawkins, the pompous arse), Noel Edmonds, David Icke and so on.
Moving on....I note you note that 'others' call Clarkson 'anti woke', and then you started a rant about what 'wokes' want. Why on earth are you interested in the demands of sad arts students from former polytechnics? I have never met a 'woke' and am never likely to. Perhaps you should try harder to ignore them.
None of this of course detracts from the fact that Clarky's Farm may well be an interesting and educational TV programme, bringing the countryside into the sitting room of townies who never knew where food comes from, or how expensive it is to be at one with the land. Doubtless, for Clarky, a Bafta awaits. But alas, I shall not be tuning in. I don't like oafish bullies, even if they are delightfully contrarian.
Farms are woke. For once I am in almost total disagreement with your overall view. I absolutely love this show and I really enjoy Clarkson. Sure, he clearly had c**t flu at the end of Top Gear (wonderful diagnosis I picked up from the 4 th season), however, this show has most definitely rehabilitated him in my eyes. With this show, he has certainly brought the plight of farmers into the loung rooms of people who would have no bloody idea (myself included) and he has done it whilst having a bloody good laugh at himself. Not only has he shown how bloody hard it is to make a living off the land he has expertly highlighted the problems farmers face from Nimbies and biased councils when trying to diversify to make a living (which is exaclty why he went for the restaurent planning permit, it was an idea from his son).
As for others commenting that he is somehow anti woke, well, so am I, at least to the extent where the ultra wokes demand utter allegiance to their world view or you are deemed not worthy of breathing, good on him and others like Gervais and Dawkins for calling this bullshit out..
ManyHas anyone ever met a poor Farmer?
Oh no!!! That will show emSo I'm going to keep him on ignore, along with other 'flawed' but interesting characters, such as Joey Barton, Gervais himself (and Dawkins, the pompous arse), Noel Edmonds, David Icke and so on.
YesHas anyone ever met a poor Farmer?
Thing is that opening the pub was always going to be a success with fans all wanting to come. He could and maybe will open others with the same concept.Big fan of Clarkson's Farm, whether contrived or not. Really enjoyed the first 6 episodes of Season 4, but can't say the same for the last 2 episodes that I watched last night!
The Pub opening was more like a couple of episodes of Ground Force or DIY SOS (if you remember those) and was a bit of a farce.
The Farm works because JC is being a bit of a buffoon but being guided by professional people (bring back Harriet) on a subject that most of us don't have the first idea of how it all works BUT that's why it works. Opening a pub being guided by people don't don't know what they are doing (Charlie) and professionals who also don't appear to know what they are doing...........thinking about it, isn't that the way The Apprentice works?
Stick to the Farm imho...
No, your points are fair. I really shoud move forward from RG's unfortunate 'mong' episide.Couple of points :
1. While you clearly don't like Gervais comedy (neither do I), he's a decent human being who has a great love of animals.
2. There is nothing wrong with "former polytechnics" - it's just uni snobbery you're displaying.
And yes, I expect I'll now go back on the naughty step otherwise known as the ignore list.
Exactly. Has anyone met a poor farmer? Many

Working 52 weeks of the year often very long lonely hours, most dangerous job in the UK for minimum wage.
There's a huge difference between farmers (tenants etc) and land owners
Exactly. Has anyone met a poor farmer?
Not all farmers own the farms.Has anyone ever met a poor Farmer?
I agree. I love the show but him kicking off about the government targeting people like him who bought land to avoid inheritance tax is going to be painful viewing.Enjoyed it as usual. Im less looking forward to the next season if it's all about him fighting the 'Family Farm Tax' as that's going to get annoying very quickly.
So long as he is fighting for farmers NOT land owners like him it's just fine. He has a voice that may just change this total f*** up of a policy. Farmers need supporting, they are currently struggling just when we need to start sourcing our food locally.Enjoyed it as usual. Im less looking forward to the next season if it's all about him fighting the 'Family Farm Tax' as that's going to get annoying very quickly.
Is there an ETA for that?Enjoyed it as usual. Im less looking forward to the next season if it's all about him fighting the 'Family Farm Tax' as that's going to get annoying very quickly.
2026 at the earliest or 2027Is there an ETA for that?
