[Albion] Ange Postecoglou

You have to feel sorry for Ange. He gets Spurs their first silverware for 17 years and is rewarded with the sack. You would have thought they would have had the decency to let him carry on until the end of the year but apparently not
I don't feel too sorry for him. Spurs were very poor all season and although he won a trophy, it was the worst cup final I've ever seen with 2 poor teams

I know it's well-paid but you do wonder why any ambitious manager would want to go to Spurs. You're on a loser there: winning trophies isn't enough, getting to the Champions League isn't enough, so you're going to get sacked within a couple of years and may or may not bounce back.

You have to work with the most tight-fisted chairman in the PL, one who doesn't even seem that keen on football, and have to put up with the most entitled set of fans in England. You don't even have a cheese room any more.

Someone like Frank may earn less at Brentford, but he's going to have a much more pleasant life

I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that Frank will take the job. Potter turned down Spurs when he was still at the Albion, didn't he?

That's true but if it's not Frank, it will be someone like Silva or Iraola. Someone on decent money with a supportive board and supportive fans.

Silva has offers from Saudi again, after he tried to accept one of their jobs a couple of seasons ago and Fulham said no. Iraola will be getting paid pretty well at Bournemouth so he may like the easy life there.

It would be objectively hilarious if all three of them declined the Spurs job.

More significant than Champions League money and the price for the EL? Not even close
Getting into the champions league isn’t an automatic £100m. £21m for qualifying and then it’s up to them. £25m for winning the Europa League. If they had claimed 4th spot to where they are that’s £40m extra PL money not an insignificant sum.

Have you seen how much Levy spent with Ange there, it's a nonsense to say he doesn't spend.

If Ange had finished 8th-14th and not lost 22 league games he would still be there

It's not a struggle to understand why he's been sacked.

Hmmm. They sacked big Ange because they won a trophy and finished 17th in the league.

I can't imagine Levy is going to be all that excited about a bloke who won a trophy and finished 12th in the league.

Anyway, the next big question is: how long before Big Ange is appointed as The Leeds United manager?

I'll go for 24th October.
