You have to feel sorry for Ange. He gets Spurs their first silverware for 17 years and is rewarded with the sack. You would have thought they would have had the decency to let him carry on until the end of the year but apparently not

Looks like the Spurs fans are pretty universally "Levy out" again after this latest decision
Aren't his days numbered anyway as I thought the family trust that now hold Joe Louis' shares are looking to sell and when they do highly likely the new majority owner is unlikely to want to have Levy as his chairman!

About time. Don't know how he stayed in the job as long as he did. Had two good months which were his first two months in two whole seasons and then the rest was abject.

There's no way a Spurs manager should survive finishing 17th in the league even with a cup win beating an equally inept team in the final.
In any normal league season, I'd agree about finishing 17th, but not this one.

What real difference does it make in finishing 2nd to 17th? (except the small amount of cash per league position).

None of those 2-17th have won the league and none are relegated.

If you dont finish as Champions, whats the next objective? CL football....... He has delivered that. You could argue he has had a better season than arch rivals Arsenal.

Win a major Trophy. He's done that too.

In a season where they've had terrible injuries including their very good centre halfs and Keeper. Ange prioritsed the walking wounded and better players into the UEL games.

Is it better to finish 8th or 9th and have no trophy or CL? What about 6th and UEL qualification and no trophy?

How many Spurs fans before last season would accept prioritising players to winning a major trophy and getting CL qualification at the expense of a league they were NEVER going to win?

....
Each position in the PL table is worth an additional 3.1m currently - that seems rather significant to me!

I suppose the worry was that he would do an Eric Ten Haag. I.e. get even shitter than they were last season. It's very possible tbf.

Part of the reason he was sacked was the clubs concern how his role in the injury crisis.
