If this was the Kompromat and it genuinely came out, then in any normal era (which this is not), then it would be straight-forward trial and prison.
Just can't imagine how anyone would accept him anywhere.. state visits, tea with King Charles, G7 meetings, pop over to see Macron if these vids are knocking about?
(He'd probably blame the vicious, corrupt legacy media for creating an Ai video though).
Yep.

He’d blame the victims. Then he’d carry on business as usuail. Maybe lay low for a year.

I think acceptance in high society very much depends on whether you’re an asset or a liability.

Are you making money for us or are you causing stocks to plummet?

It’s not really the crime that anyone’s bothered about in those circles, it’s the impact on them and their bank accounts that concerns them.

I’m not sure where all the optimism for these handful of sapper style missions is coming from other than a good morale boost.

I’m not sure a lot of people genuinely understand the absolute pounding Ukraine is getting on a daily basis.

A few sabotage sorties that knock out some infrastructure for a few days at most, is no match for wave after wave of unrelenting ballistic attacks which destroy infrastructure of Ukraine permanently.

These sapper style missions, as you put them, are also destroying Russian infrastructure permanently. Neither side can defeat the enemy with these strikes, but Ukraine are proving that they're going to be able to keep fighting and preventing Russia from winning.

So how does this war end? Ukraine can't kill all Russian troops and take their land back, but it continues to look impossible for Russia to win either, which means it'll keep going until one side decides they don't want to fight anymore. And it's extremely difficult to imagine that will ever be Ukraine. If they just let Russia take over, life for Ukrainians would be hell. The language would be ended, it would be banned from all schools and public places. Everyone would have to say they're Russian or be jailed/executed. Many people would be executed anyway.

Which means the war will continue until either Russia can't afford to pay their soldiers anymore, or until they don't want to fight a pointless war anymore. And strikes like the recent ones from Ukraine will show Russians that this war is pointless and can't be won, so at some point something in Russia is likely to give. I don't know if that'll be in one year or three years, but I can't see Ukraine ever giving up.

I think it’s a significant morale boost not just for Ukraine but for its allies - knowing that Ukraine has that extent of reach to do damage in Russia is a powerful message to all involved in the war - that Ukraine won’t roll over. Yes, Ukraine continues to get a daily pounding but the damage that Ukraine is increasingly causing in Russia (including targeted assassinations) is surely more than just temporary damage and I’d have thought it strengthens Ukraine’s hand in any negotiations - whenever they might take place.

Again, I'll simply ask, what kompromat could possibly embarrass Trump above and beyond what's already common knowledge?
More than the Access tapes, Stormy Daniels, his association with Epstein, his criminal convictions, his mafia connections....any one of these things would have brought down any other politician. Trump just shrugs them off.
Photographic proof that there is indeed a relationship between the size of his (small) hands and another part of his body?

Easily dismissed as photoshop AI fake news.

I’ve said before, Trump’s narcissistic personality means he can’t be controlled in this way - he would retaliate to regain power and control over the dynamic.

Look at what’s happening now with Musk - he’s been challenged, he retaliates. Same again with Harvard and any other scenario where he’s directly challenged.

Narcissism is also why the various actual scandals haven’t touched him - it’s equally effective as fuel for him as anything positive. He feeds on chaos.

It’s why other world leaders are so careful to avoid challenging him. Unedifying though it is, the only way to pacify Trump is appealing to his vanity.

And money. There’s far more credence in the possibility that the Russians buy Trump’s compliance than coercing it. But I’m not convinced that could happen without him shouting it from the rooftops.

How is the Trump - Musk fallout going to develop? It's already spiralled way out of control.

Implications for Ukraine are impossible to predict.

Yeah, who knows.

The threat of Starlink being pulled had already died down and I guess that’s safe for the time being. Not sure it was ever really on the cards, Warburg made some good arguments on that.

Anything that distracts Trump from “helping” is a good thing, so maybe there’s some positive in it.

Doesn’t Musk still hold Ukraine to ransome over his provision of Starlink?

I recall him saying back in March that ‘the entire front line would collapse if I turned it off’.

A drug-fuelled Musk going postal over the Trump administration and a sociopathic Trump threatening to bring down Tesla, could make it very difficult to ensure Ukraine continues to get satellite communications from the US/Musk.

The sooner the EU gets something else in place the better.
