Did all your 'liberal' imperialists know the language of the country they went to lord over? Do you also want to make it a condition that anyone that emigrates from the UK knows the language of their arrival country (should be fine with the outstanding approach to languages within our education system)? Why would an illiberal like you insist that only liberal foreigners can come here? Surely it would upset the carefully honed balance the natives have constructed for themselves.

Britain's imperial past is not relevant to the current situation, as you well know.

Neither are we discussing emigration from the UK. Foreign countries are perfectly capable of setting their own standards and expectations for people who want to come and live there.

New Money is created whenever the government spends. This is done by keystrokes on a computer when accounts are credited. It doesn’t come from anywhere else. Bond issuance and tax are entirely different processes and perform other functions. Funding expenditure isn’t one of them.

New data obtained by Full Fact reveals that a 3.6 million rise in the number of hospital appointments—celebrated by the government as a “massive increase”—is actually smaller than the increase achieved the year before.

Excellent. I'll have a large bet with you that Farage will not be the next PM. You'll obviously want to bet because things are irreversible. Name your price.
Steady on old chap, I am only saying the lower figures were not due to Starmers government, although he keeps putting his foot in it by clearly trying to take credit for them. He is bad as the Tories, with lies and bull shit.
We waited 14 years to break the mould and so far he has lowered Labour to the same if not worse level.
Meanwhile Farage is ticking along with taking the position Starmer should have taken, with common sense politics.
Labour have committed political suicide, so wasteful, he has to go quickly to save us from being demolished from a newly formed party. What a mess.

The Farage budget wouldn’t add up. The Telegraph started looking at all the promises eg £20k personal allowance.

Don't think you need to be an economist to know Farage's figures are fantasy. He would bankrupt us in weeks.

Give with one hand take away with the other?

"The contentious winter fuel payment could be restored to all pensioners under plans being considered by Downing Street, with the sum being recouped from higher income pensioners through their tax returns.

Government officials confirmed the idea is being looked at"

- FT

That works for me as someone who would be eligible this winter for the first time, and would be happy to not receive it.

No one's budget ever adds up. What party could now trust now?

Labour. Primarily because the ONS publish the facts every month, including the deficit. The Tories too as a government, except Truss.

Whilst Trump/Farage/Truss are knowing fantasists. Promising huge tax cuts whilst cutting public debt. Thankfully global bond markets have highly intelligent people operating in them and buying gilts etc, who can smell a Rattus.

Well, at least we can be confident that Starmer isn't going to lose your hard-won vote. :lolol:

I feel like the fact the only person to like your post is called “Rodent” is some kind of synchronicity.

It is quite amusing that however we try and wrap it up and avoid the real issue, voting for Farage's Brexit, then Johnson to implement it and then again for Farage's latest grift is completely f***ing moronic.

oops :lolol:

At least we’re not now ruled from Brussels. Farage through his special friends would be able to agree free trade agreements with Russia, Belarus and Serbia.

Do you think anything would happen if Farage won and did that? Riots, protests etc? I can’t imagine much of the UK being up for siding with Russia etc. even if many of them are idiotic enough to vote for Reform. That said, we aren’t known for our protesting. Too British, maybe we’ll need to channel our inner French person.
