[Albion] End of Season Fan Forum

Why didn’t they run the real thing with a big crowd, as they had in the past?
I think it’s a different product now than those days, the cringey anarchy of the past won’t be allowed, it’s part of the slick comms now. Slick as in the computer graphics, obviously the dullest, lifeless thing you’ll ever see

Ritchie was VERY excited about the whole format, and clearly thought everyone else would be too.

I just about stuck with it when they "transported" us into the dressing room. But when they AI'd them onto the top of a mislocated Brighton Eye type thing in front of a shonky Palace Pier I gave up, and began re-evaluating my life choices.

To save me having to sit through it, was anything mentioned of the Womens team and in particular the new stadium? I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask!

Watched it while wife watching one of her TV programs Sorry but waste of time Another box tick by PB to show PL how they listen to fans. Biggest gripe supporters have is travel to and from Amex. Somebody mentioned seagull travel but that was daft. If your going when traffic is less to mention STravel why not say cost is becoming to much (2 of us pad £28 from Rottingdean against Newcastle ) Do they put this out to tender or are they not worried about the cost and happy they can get them to now arrive 1 hour 15mins before KO in hope we spend more money. I know several that if there is 2 plus they get a taxi from Brighton half an hour before KO when traffic is less.

I've been to a few forums at the club and enjoyed them. I joined this one too. Seriously dull. Especially with no PB. Slick, professional and boring. If you are thinking of watching, don't bother.

Against my better judgement I've got it playing in the background while doing other stuff and it is REALLY dull. They don't look happy sat there either. Reminds me of a doctors or dentists waiting room but with a fancier background.

Then that's disappointing. The question I would have asked is:

"Why doesn't the club follow the Arsenal model and allow our women's side to play their home matches at the Amex? (Arsenal women had average WSL crowds of over 24K last season at the Emirates) then invest the money saved by not building a new stadium to offer higher wages, longer contracts etc to improve the quality and depth of the playering staff?"

Sounds dreadful and not useful for match-going fans at all.

At the same time, I completely get why the club are trying to do these manicured, sanitised versions of access available to the global market. We have a huge following in SE Asia and this sort of digital experience gives a behind the scenes look that may make those “fans” feel more connected to the club than having to listen to Paul from West Worthing complain about bottle tops.

Worth noting as well that if you do crave the access that fans forum has previously given (especially to Bloom and Barber) then the club give incredible access to the supporters clubs and they’re well worth joining.

I know this is probably crazy to ask, but was there any mention of Stand Or Fall becoming available anywhere other than Uckfield, Hong Kong and The Terrace anytime in the next millennium?

I've got a feeling about this answer...

No.

Although if a junior seagull had sent in a video with this question the chances of it being asked would have increased tenfold
