Sturm Gratz and Austrian Prem hardly a bad standard, just not the pinnacle of the PL. If he’s happy for a couple of years developing whilst being paid by us instead of a host club I don’t feel this is a case where there’s a huge rush to move him on. More a wait and see. The very tallest keepers often take a couple more years to fully develop and settle into their body compared to others as well. Being commanding on crosses and a bit of extra reach, to me is better than fast reactions (talking milliseconds difference due to height) but I can understand why instead of either we look at ability on the ball to choose where we focus and looks like we’ve decided he might not suit that (or us) today. Who knows in a year’s time if a new manager comes in though or our defense becomes even more ball playing and less aerially dominant. If we had Ben White and Veltman as our CBs you’d want a monster between the sticks I suspect.

Totally forgot about him. Signed a new contract last year until 2027 and he's 2½ years older than Bart but never hear a sniff about him being a first team potential.

2 out of 3 of the players of the year in Austria are owned by Brighton.
Both the newcomer of the season and goalkeeper of the season.

Top work, Mr Algorithm!
Indeed.

I suspect slightly different outcomes for both though. I can see us selling Baleba and replacing him with Yalcouye. I can only see Sherpen getting sold or loaned again. We already have three keepers at the club capable of starting for the first team.

Simply not true. We don’t even have one keeper capable of starting for the first team according to some on here :lolol:

Not sure the Albion ‘sell’ players. We don’t need the money under PSR/FFP. If someone expresses an interest in any player, it’ll be the usual multiple bids until a valuation is met. Caicedo went a year earlier than planned and two clubs ramped it up until TB/PB were made an offer they couldn’t refuse. Of course, the twatterNet will make up endless SHiT…

I’ll be honest, I’d totally forgotten he was still here

Scherpen, Rushworth, Beadle and Steele will have a thumb war tournament for it.
And if McGill took part too, that would be the whole gang. Bart to ref.
