A 31% vote share on a turnout of approx 35% (which equates to approx 11% of the total electorate). I doubt that Reform would get 31% on a turnout of over 60%.
Exactly.

Also, there are certain types of people who like a 'protest vote' during local elections. People who want to send a message to the Government or Tory party and don't mind some of their councillors getting binned off. When it comes to the serious business of a general election in 4 years time, I'd suggest those that lent their votes to Reform will be back with the Tories.

Because, I thought the Telegraph was a reliable source of information, not one for spreading false facts/information
Well, a different view is that there's an entire ecosystem funded by the rich encouraging voters to back the Tories and, more recently, Reform. This comprises numerous thinktanks punting out 'reliable information' and facts -- a question: are 'false facts' the same as 'alternative facts'? -- most newspapers, TV channels, and so on.
And they'll tell you that I'm pedalling woke communism.

The Telegraph isn't the only newspaper I read - I like to get a broad spectrum

I mean, I'd like to think that whoever funded it, the article is accurate in what they are saying.

Really?

I‘m still waiting for the detail from the article as to where The Telegraph get their figures from, as clearly they will have provided this level of information to back up their story… won’t they?

Why is it that folks that are very left wing & think the Guardian is a credible news source suddenly turn quite nasty when challenged on their views. Yet people that are more centre or right wing ( not extreme right) don’t !
Because its easy to attribute made up scenarios to made up people?

I've re-read and all I can find is that top level sickness benefits are £23,900. As found by the CSJ.

Money talks.
so does amplifying the political voices of the owners of the media and representing them in parliament.

They back the party of most benefit to them.
