On a slow, and delayed, train home but still happy.

Wolves were poor, but even when we handed them chances I wasn't really concerned today as felt we had it generally under control.

Adingra (especially) and Gruda were both pretty poor after coming on - both were tracking back like they had been playing for the whole game and were getting pelters as they jogged back.

I said if we continued to slag them, one would score, even better an assist and a goal.

You're all welcome. 😎
I think Adingra is just woefully out of form and game time minutes aren’t changing that at the moment sadly.

Gruda there is an improvement curve in these second half cameos he’s been doing. What I liked today was a bit more aggression. He’s been a bit too lightweight this season and I thought I saw bit more dog today, he was on the verge of fighting a Wolves player at one point. Delighted he gets the goal boost.

Now I wish for a personality transport for O’Riley too. Good technical player but just too damn nice - he has zero killer instinct, dithers over a pass rather than driving a stake into the opposition. If you could transplant Knockaert’s mad brain into O’Riley’s head we’d have twice the player

Really, really enjoyable and impressive away day today. Never felt Wolves would hurt us - and that is testament to how superb the defence was. Which is a really nice thing to be able to write. Webster was so smooth and in control. Likewise JPvH. Weiffer was just excellent and played so well on that (daft) yellow (MOTM for me). Pervis too had a quietly good game and Bart made some excellent saves.

Glad I took my shades (thanks NSC posters for the sun tips). Had some great pre-match beers in the mixed and very friendly fanzone. Wow those lads and lasses pulling the pints in the bar/van were fast! Clearing a 50M, three abreast bar queue in 5 minutes! Sign em up at the Amex Tony FFS!

Minteh worked his socks off (esp first half) and chucked in the obligatory poor decision - but you can’t fault the lad’s heart and effort.

Ayari was nice and tidy. Baleba strong (if unspectacular today). Welbeck incisive when he needed to be. I’ve written my thoughts on MOR on the MOR thread but he was the main and only disappointment really for me.

Gruda came on and was excellent, lively and full of purpose. Absolutely chuffed he got his first goal. All in all, a marvellous away day in the sun and Europe very much a possibility again👏
MOR voted man of the match on BBC - someone's having a laff. As you say, the one disappointment from today. I thought he was really poor.

Good post. Agree both Gruda and O’Riley points.

MOR has no confidence anywhere near the oppo penalty area.

He's making the runs and taking up good positions but then...

Something the whole team have been guilty of at times this season, but I think he'll get there - not a patch on Georginio though.

Or Rutter.

There's something very suspicious about the voting on the BBC Sport site. Billy Gilmour used to get voted best player almost every week (he was okay but not that good). Is it the Scottish connection perhaps?

Bart pulled off two great saves that kept us in the game having said that we were solid at the back and midfield were impressive, I enjoyed the game and nice to see Welbeck get into double digits and Gruda getting his first goal which was overwhelmingly for the lad.
good win which keeps us in the hunt for Europe although out of our direct hands

Yes Bart actually made some decent saves and added some value today. It’s not just enough to be good at playing the ball out from the back.

Talksport presenter not knowing the laws of football? No surprises there although probably doing it to generate some calls.
But he does if he said it should have been a sending off as he was never getting the ball and only the player.

Adingra was dogshit and does not deserve a place in the squad. Irrelevant he assisted the second goal.

Having watched it back, I think the disallowed goal and yellow instead of red for Cunha were actually the right calls. Definitely a good thing Cunha isn't banned for Palace as well.

Cracking result, well done boys.
Listening to the radio in the car on the way home, pundits reckoned they got both decisions wrong. Goal should have counted and it should have been a red.

Really can't see him still being here next season. He has been poor for ages.
