I think this meant "Look, I didn't fall over this time..."
I got the impression he was initially making peace with the Saudi-apologists then got abuse from them and immediately thought f*** you and did all the "this is my home" gesture as it seemed a very quick about-turn from him.

With the possible exception of a club legend returning, like Dennis Law against Manchester United or Fat Frank against Chelsea, I think not celebrating a goal is disrespectful to your present team.
I've seen player who spent a few months on loan refuse to clebrate when going back. Go and say your pleasantries to the club's supporters at the end of the match if you must, but don't put a downer on your new club celebrating a goal!

Personally I'd like to see more players go for the full Adebayor when they score against their former clubs unless there is some exceptional reason far beyond football for them not to do so.

Bit weird that he seems so intent on appeasing them when he never even played for them. It's a load of bollocks that they 'had' to sell him anyway, they could've sold Guimaraes, Tonali, Isak or any of their other big players if they wanted to keep him that badly.

Put me down as precious, that was an OTT celebration. He has also been a dirty bastard every time he’s played against us too since. f*** him. I was called precious on here for being pissed off when Poyet was touting himself in his last few months too. No surprise he got the sack to me.
Poyet touting himself while still employed by us wasn’t right. Burn being a dirty bastard - give him stick for it. Burn over celebrating his first ever goal for the team he supports - why wouldn’t he?
It’s still a relatively new thing - not celebrating…. Wouldn’t have done it in my day
