How will this work? What does the 'tariff' actually go on to? Will cinemas be forced to charge the customers double if it's a 'foreign' film? Or what exactly?

It's almost as if it's not been thought through in any way and something some bollocks to get some headlines.

And situations like this are why I never believe a word he says. The guy is so facking tedious.
“They say I’m the most tedious President ever. No-one’s ever had more tedious than me. Beautiful tedious, beautiful beautiful. Even Sleepy Joe remember old Sleepy Joe well Sleepy Joe they say Sleepy Joe was way more less tediouser. They tried to you know steal it, bad people, bad bad people, like the little Greenlanders I call them Greenlanders they have no tedious you know. No tedious. That’s why we need to make them America because they want to. They want to they’re jealous they’re crying you know all those little Greenlanders, crying like where’s all our tedious, but fish can’t cry - can you believe that? They said to me Mr President the fish can’t cry, and I was like, well, you never know, because…”

This is a major issue for the UK as the TV and Film industry is one of the areas where we are truly world leading and a lot of Hollywood studios work over here
Possibly but those films are watched worldwide. How does it work ? US Audiences pay more ?

The biggest single market for Hollywood blockbusters is the US but the international revenue combined dwarfs it.

International viewers are drawn to those films by using exotic locations and local stars.

The stars won't like it if they are unable to jet off to exotic locations for their film shoots!

Trump changes his tune on the economy

President Trump is changing his tune on the economy, suggesting that Americans should buy less and will probably pay more and bear the brunt of an uncertain economic landscape as his wide-ranging tariff policy takes effect.

Trump and his economic team have for weeks said the tariffs would result in only short-term pain and that the tumult in the stock market would eventually level out.

But the White House’s messaging has evolved from Trump on the campaign trail promising to lower prices and make America “wealthy” again to Trump suggesting that the U.S. needs a cultural shift on consumer spending while accepting that his tariff plan will raise prices.

Surprise! Surprise!

The Alcatraz thing and the new impeachment dispute with Dems are definitely distractions. Keep focused on the real issues.

When he said it would only be short term pain he was JOKING, obviously.

Only an idiot wouldn't realise that.
