i noticed a bigger Police presence than usual yesterday, there was a policeman in the concourse north west corner lower stand, never seen police there, even for Palace games, and there seemed more police around the stadium than usual. Maybe a response to the Terrace being open for a few hours before the match? not that Ive heard of any trouble from it.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
The puncher obviously wasn’t a NUFC supporter, because they’re the best fans in the entire world.
He can't have been a Newcastle fan if he was wearing a shirt.

You take your drinks with you into the loo? Noooooooooooooo….
Ha - it could be read like that.

It could also be read that I go to the loo in the lounges too but I can assure you that I do neither :lolol:

Some big fat bloke decided to punch a 1901 regular. No idea why.
He didn’t get the response he wanted to “where’s the coat rail?”

Whilst, in principle, I don’t agree with violence sometimes it’s the only way to communicate a message.

I hope you’re reading this Barber.

I use the Focus Lounge if they are available but they are all much the same - I was paying around £80 for good seats in the W anyway or having to use the disability seats more and more over the past 12 months so as you say, for the additional easy access issues, the upgrade (for me) it’s worth it. I do miss the noise and buzz though that you don’t get in the lounge seats - a big part of that aspect of the match experience has gone for me now. I used to be rather more focal than I feel I can be in the 1901 but maybe that’s just me?

“buzz” = standing up, swearing and abusing referees. That would be the main minus from me if and when I move to hospitality.

Well yes that’s what I was going to say before deleting it and thinking better of it - didn’t want to get a ’holier than thou’ comment about my ‘bad fan’ match behaviour :lolol:

Were the northerners arrested? We must be the softest club in the land to allow away fans to swing punches at our own in our stands. Surely being an away fan in a home stand is enough to eject ‘em never mind starting a fight. Hope they’re in a cell tonight, with Big Hilda for company…
To quote Mr Barber in our most recent email communications - “hospitality areas are not the home end”.

Beggars belief.
