2 Newcastle fans next to a regular, apparently exchanging words.

Sam the steward in our lounge did a great job, until the police arrived.

Away fans are allowed in the 1991 providing they are respectful, I am assuming these individuals weren’t.

Perhaps the time is coming for the club to review this policy….
1991 ? Isn't that when Palace was first formed ?

Were the northerners arrested? We must be the softest club in the land to allow away fans to swing punches at our own in our stands. Surely being an away fan in a home stand is enough to eject ‘em never mind starting a fight. Hope they’re in a cell tonight, with Big Hilda for company…

Isn’t it part of the uniquely DK/TB thing of being the friendliest club in the land to away fans?

Nor do I, lots of long time Brighton fans, not all corporate hanger-ons. 😃

We sit with fans that also did 83 cup final, Hereford, Gillingham, Withdean etc….
Withdean South Stand in poncho’s to the lounge was a big leap 😃
Yep. I’ve done my time in the NS at the Goldstone in rain and snow, Gillingham, Withdean and scrambling through a solid mass of people for half time drinks and toilets at the Amex.

I’m done.

I901 lounges for me from now on where I can go to the loo and sit down with a drink in the warm without the long queues.

It’s very nice in our lounge and can confirm it’s not mainly corporate types, it’s fans like me who treated ourselves after sitting in the wet at Withdean. It’s actually not a lot more expensive than best seats in the west when you take into account free car parking and programme. Now if we could get Sodexo to employ staff that know that Harvey’s beer is different to Harvey’s Bristol cream, then it would be perfect.

I use the Focus Lounge if they are available but they are all much the same - I was paying around £80 for good seats in the W anyway or having to use the disability seats more and more over the past 12 months so as you say, for the additional easy access issues, the upgrade (for me) it’s worth it. I do miss the noise and buzz though that you don’t get in the lounge seats - a big part of that aspect of the match experience has gone for me now. I used to be rather more focal than I feel I can be in the 1901 but maybe that’s just me?
