Personally I expect the promoted teams to experience a whole new world of pain next season as the gap is ever widening between the divisions, along with that West Ham are a shower and Everton although they are moving into a new stadium they have plenty of players out of contract so I don’t expect like some that they’ll be pushing for Europe, I for one will lose little sleep if this happens.

Much has been made about Forest’s possession and xG this season, the term possession should be changed to pissing about with it at the back and as for xG using Taiwo Awoniyi as an example that poor bugger is about as successful in front of goal as I am with woman, cows ar@e and shovel springs to mind, whereas Wood can and does finish so again xG can be slightly misleading.

Forest will battle next season to finish about 13th due to potential extra fixtures in my opinion and frankly I’d take that right now, as for Brighton from the outside looking in ( without the real emotion that true BHA fans feel) you’ll be absolutely fine, many clubs wish and aspire to be like you lot, your manager will have learnt plenty this season and I expect Albion to shake it up in 25-26.

And for the record just so you all know Leeds always do it, have it, sing it, wear it, play it bigger and better than anyone .

Do you think wood will do it again? That’s my point. He is getting older and this feels like a bit of a freak season (he seems like a great bloke so happy for him) but can it happen again. If MGW leaves to bigger club and a few injuries then it could be tricky.

That said I will be amazed if at least two of three coming up don’t go down.

The problem with the championship is that promotion is all about being very good going forward which is why it’s very entertaining. Teams focus on the attacking element but seem to ignore being defensively very solid which is something that we, Burnley and Fulham managed to do. We wouldn’t score loads but we conceded much fewer. That meant that we were better placed when promoted to concede less. Look at Leeds in their last season in the prem. everyone wet themselves on scoring loads but ignored the fact that defensively they were shit which effectively sent them back down. They were also found out as the season progressed and with better defensive the goals never came. Having looked at the teams coming up it’s much the same, very good going forward but crap at the back.

Not sure you can say that about Burnley. They've only conceded 15 goals all season. Will be different in the PL for sure, but in the Championship this season their defence has been good enough to set all time records!

i didn’t explains myself very well, no surprise there, teams in the championship dodn’t focus o defence as they control games and will score loads of goals against most of the other teams due to the standard of defending. That means it’s about attacking football and controlling the game.
Saying that, Burnley have the best chance of staying up as the teams stand at the moment, the summer transfer window will obviously be key.

It's nothing about the quality of the teams though. Leeds just love giving us points. Or it always feels that way anyway.

But against struggling promoted sides, or sides struggling in the bottom three? We are, after all, the team to go to for ending long sequences - so getting points from Leeds when they are bottom three next, then.

If at least one of Leeds or Burnley don't stay up next season then football is in a very bad place in England.

They both got 100 points. Between them they lost a grand total of 6 games. Burnley conceded a ludicrously low 16 goals. Leeds conceded nearly double that....but, that's actually the second fewest goals conceded in the past 20 years(it could very well be more than 20 years - I got bored at that point looking at old tables!). For comparison our promotion season we conceded 40 and Reading in their record setting season conceded 32.

Leeds have also scored 95 goals which is the fourth highest by any championship team in the same time period.

If neither of those two teams who have absolutely smashed the championship can stay up in the premier league then there really is a problem.

That said, I will have a hearty chuckle if Leeds do f*** it up. The hubris, arrogance and general bellendery of their fans brings it on themselves.

I’d ignore previous results against Leeds, as Leeds will have a better one, as usual according to their fans.

I’d not be against Leeds getting pumped weekly and challenging Derby’s 11 point record, but not doubt as usual Leeds will have a better one.

I suspect Leeds will do ok next season. And in the same way it fits the media need for hype and creating false narratives of legacy and “deserving” things to pretend Palace fans are somehow especially noisy or passionate, and that Newcastle’s recent success isn’t due to an abhorrent murderous regime, we’ll get endless nauseating nonsense about them being back where they belong.
