Bizarre game, City scored a good early goal and controlled the first half, second half we were better hitting the woodwork three times, one of them from Gibbs-White would have been our the goal of the season just after our miss of the season from Elanga.

Cracking header to seal it from City, unsure how much not having three key starters affected the outcome.

City fans were great at the end acting with real class and humility 🙄, we’ve got a few as most clubs have but City fans are starting to tread the entitled line more now.

Said before a few times on here the Brighton fans I’ve interacted with have always been fantastic and represent your club well, you lot are the sort you’d invite round for a BBQ, whereas City fans are becoming the group you avoid in the pub.

Anyway two year yesterday I joined the forum and now we’re out of the cup I think the threat of being banned if Palace win the cup has been lifted from me 🙃, every cloud eh?.

Have just caught up and seen the Evanilson sending off. For about the fourth time this week VAR are re-reffing the game and getting involved in subjective decisions that they have no business getting involved in. Exactly what Howard Webb keeps saying he doesn't want to do.
Successfully appealed by Bournemouth and now rescinded.

Ridiculous decision to rescind the red card.

It was reviewed by VAR - the ref took a second look and upgraded the card.
Not really sure how you can rescind a card based on a subjective view that has already had enough scrutiny.

But it's a subjective decision.
Plenty of opinions that it was a red.

Clear and obvious it wasn't.....
We shouldn't be rescinding VAR decisions unless it's a clanger.
Correct, it's subjective - so VAR shouldn't have got involved in the first place.

You say we shouldn't be rescinding VAR decisions unless it's a clanger - but this is a clanger, as VAR no business interfering.

The bloke slipped and fouled the player.
He was out of control.
It was harsh, But nowhere near the level of clanger, we should be looking for to overturn an in-game decision.

But just one of a hundred subjective and inconsistent decisions made every season.
Are we going to start looking at changing the outcome of every game where refs haven't applied a subjective decision consistently?

Next time the reviews process might decide an outcome that differs from your subjective view of a decision.

Solly March got a red card at (I think) Wolves a few years ago where he quite clearly slipped and took the opponent out as he went down.

We appealed: the FA told us to poke it.

So forgive me for being a little annoyed that plucky old Bournemouth have weaselled their way out of this one.

Couldn't see a separate thread for this, but didn't want tonight's Forest v Brentford game to go under the NSC radar.

A home win and Forest getting back to winning ways would severely hamper Brentford in the race for 8th.

Let's have that then.
