Yeah to all that, but 'he tells it like it is' :shootself
By wearing tweed to the pub he seems to have ingratiated himself with people who would normally be suspicious of people wearing tweed to the pub.

Nigel Farage claims Elon Musk was ‘trying to encourage him’ by calling for him to be sacked

Nigel Farage has claimed Elon Musk was "just trying to encourage" him when he called for him to be sacked as the leader of Reform UK. The row erupted over Mr Musk's support for jailed far-right activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon.

At the time there had been speculation that Mr Musk could donate $100m to Reform, in what would have been the largest political donation in British history.

According to pollsters they’re heading for a blinding local elections, largely at the expense of the Tories but Labour too. As the LibDems have often done, also Corbyn, they can promise the earth … reinstatement of WFA for all, £20,000 personal allowance, reducing energy bills by £500 per household, end NHS waiting lists.

Un-costed unicorns. Scooping the votes of millions of people who can’t be arsed to think deeply about it.

What would be interesting* is if they win the General Election and then are faced with the choice of implementing all their plans - which would make Liz Truss's brief period in charge look like a bonanza. When interest rates hit 20%, they may be obliged to change course. Or they could quickly face reality and scrap all their pledges and promises. I wonder which they'll go.

* When I say "interesting", I do mean, of course, that it would be bloody awful
