Trump is also ineligible to serve as VP because to serve as VP you have to also be eligible to serve as president, which Trump isn't, so that loophole is closed
Technically, he is only ineligible to be elected to the office of the President, not hold the office of President.
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

Would be very interesting to see that tested though!

They’ve spent the last two months riding roughshod over as many laws and constitutional amendments as they can think of. This is a deliberate effort to test the limits of legal protections and resistance.

They don’t care if a loophole is closed, they will do it anyway and aim to break any resistance.

I do believe that it will take an officer of the law obeying the Constitution to arrest Trump and take him into custody before he stops trying to stay President. Someone like Mike Pence.

President is elected, VP isn't and is only appointed by President.

Vance gets elected, with Trump as VP, resigns, then presidency goes to VP.

It's a legal loophole.

I've heard the loophole theory but haven't seen any constitutional expert agree that it's possible

Everyone, when Trump is mentioned, should start symbolically showing Donald the sharp elbow.

No More Mr. Nice Guy. In Fighting Trump, Canada Presents ‘Mr. Elbows’

The movement, a far cry from the country’s reputation as a polite and overapologetic nation, is manifesting itself in different ways. Retailers are dumping U.S. products off their shelves to showcase Canadian wares. Canadians are increasingly foregoing trips to the U.S. Coffee shops no longer serve Americanos, offering Canadianos instead. At “Elbows Up” rallies, Canadians hold signs saying, “Don’t Poke the Goose. Elbows Up.”

Agreed. Feels like something genuinely quite embarrassing could happen in 2029 - like an OJ style car chase sequence. Genuinely.

Wasn't Trump serving a third term as president outlined in Project 2025 ? Trump denied he had any knowledge of what Project 2025 was prior to the election in November 2024.

The UK was run perfectly well previously without all these DEI policies so I don’t think it will be the big loss that some people may think. The idea is good in principle but like many things has become difficult to manage and open to abuse in practise.

You need to trust the leaders /managers etc to simply use good judgement.

So what's he going to do if they don't comply? I know, how about imposing tariffs.
I would imagine that his plan is to threaten that contracts will be cancelled, forcing many companies into having to make hard choices.

Shows how bad things have gotten that there are opwn discussions about Unlawful Orders. I said in a post a little while back that we would quite probably be relying on conscientious objectors within the CIA/FBI and US armed forces to save the day in order to make America come to its senses.

Imagine being so shit you've got three mortal enemies to unite and go "You know what? f*** that guy."

The United States has seen 80 years of postwar consensus destroyed in 8 weeks. It's going to take a monumental effort from the next non-headbanger president to drag America's reputation out of the mud. And that would be starting from now, never mind where we'll be by June.

It was run perfectly well for people who didn’t need DEI policies to protect them, yes.
