Well after Britain's own 8 year fiasco, Farage is still polling well so who knows.

But apparently the American electorate are more stupid than the British one, I've read it on here
Farage hasn't been in power, so is able to deflect any accountability over how Brexit has turned out. He's just been standing on the sidelines criticising saying how it's being done wrong. There's a massive difference.

Anyone directly comparing the Tories to the current American administration is quite wrong in my opinion. The conservatives may be all manner of things and were not doing a good job to say the least, but Trump and co are destabilising the whole world and taking a direct crack at American democracy in a way that is incredibly dangerous. The way they've flipped, along with their treatment of long-standing allies, whilst cozying up to our enemies is simply unprecedented in modern times, no British government would act in that way.

Exactly. People like Trump rarely get power in an established democracy, and likening him to others undermines just how damaging he is.

Musk’s attorneys argued in filings with the court that Musk was exercising his free speech rights with the giveaways and any attempt to restrict that would violate both the Wisconsin and US constitutions.

So, yet again, it’s free speech rights...but ONLY when it suits them. Got it. 👍🖕
Citizens United vs FEC strikes again. A 2010 SC ruling that classed political donations as an expression of free speech and removed campaign finance restrictions.

No coincidence that the US has descended into oligarchy since then. Wouldn’t be surprised if this argument wins.

I agree that no Tory government would act this way.

A Farage government (heaven forfend) would, though.

President is elected, VP isn't and is only appointed by President.

Vance gets elected, with Trump as VP, resigns, then presidency goes to VP.

It's a legal loophole.
Trump is also ineligible to serve as VP because to serve as VP you have to also be eligible to serve as president, which Trump isn't, so that loophole is closed
