Two very evenly matched teams. Forest clearly had the better of the first half, we grew back into the game by the second half.

By the second half of extra time we were bossing play, but couldn’t find a finish. I applaud the effort, cruel to lose on pens, and no blame attached to Jack or Diego. Well done lads, on to Villa, and we try for a cup again next season.

To lose on penalties and there not being any programmes available on the way up from Falmer station or in the West upper is a bad day.

Focus on league, they play to focus on the opponent not scoring first….
They will be difficult to beat in cup…
Hope they knock out palace in semi 😉

Meh dunno. On their day all remaining teams are probably better than us apart from Preston.
But how often do you get a final 8 with only one of the "Big 6."

You can't argue thar Villa, Palace and Bournemouth are better than us.

Never deserved to win that. Biggest concern is trying to pick the guys up for Wednesday. Few injuries, going over 120 mins, losing... Gonna take some effort to get over it so quickly.

Villa on the other hand will probably put a poor side out tomorrow and breeze through
Nah, the coach got them up from a 7-0 we’ll be ok

i blame FH for allowing Hinsh to take the penalty. Hes as wee little lad who has never shown he has a massive powerful shot in him. Woulda thought Adingra over Hinsh any day.
I am sure they have praised penalties in training.
I suspect that determines who is on the list to take them.
JH has been one of our most assured players all season.
FH has faith in him.
To blame the managed is pointless.

If Dunk is such an assured pen taker why did hinch take one ahead of him, 2 ahead in fact! Too young and looked nervous crumbled under pressure. Others shouldve come forward.
Not sure the order was the issue so much as more experienced players not being In the five

As much as I thought we had an off day, I wasn't impressed with Forest. Excellent pair of defenders of course, but 3rd in the League? The table does not outright lie, but it does a bit in this case.
Forest are a well drilled team, playing the opposite way to most of the other teams around them. This season it is paying dividends.
I suspect they'll find it harder next season.
I don't like their style, but now perversely will be happy for them to win the Cup, if it gives an extra Europa place to 7th in the league.

Might not be the most entertaining side but they are strong direct and bloody good at it!
