But this is the quandary isn't it.

If we did get them at Wembley - then whoever won would have bragging rights for ages, probably till after I'm gone. Think how fantastic it would be if it were us.

But without the sort of deep low that losing to them would bring, that same high wouldn't be there either.

Yes - we're all still scarred by that play-off.
I think I read that’s what De Zerbi said to March after the penalty miss. Something along the lines of being in a position to experience the highest highs inevitably means sometimes also experiencing the lowest lows.

Absolutely buzzing even more now. Bring on the Wembley Palace match up.

I understand logically why people don't want to face them, but by Christ I just don't get it from an emotional perspective. Don't people want to FEEL things in life?

I like to feel a bit, but not too much. I take it you're into extreme sports and in your downtime you watch horror films.

A lot of people getting very ahead of themselves. This is going to be a very challenging game and the meltdown here if we lose will be enormous as a result of the expectation.

If it were in the final, yes, but if it were the semi-final and the winner went on to lose the final, it wouldn't mean that much.

You seem to think we are incapable of beating that shower of sh*t. I call bollocks....bring them on and when we beat them, hang your head in shame.
Well we failed quite spectacularly the last time

Just put £20 on palace to win the cup at 8/1. Bloody good odds

They have shortened since

I would hope not - Forest are flying and it will take something special from us to win. That said, I feel strangely confident that we will.
Couldn't care less who we play in the semi (or final) should we make it.

This match is just ringing all the bells and setting off all the alarms in my head. This will be absolute bedshittery.

If we lose to Forest today, I will be very disappointed, but that's it. There's always next year.
But a cup final vs. Palace? That just wouldn't seem like a proper cup final, just a local spat between neighbours, albeit a very bitter one. Plus, losing a final to Palarse would give them bragging rights for years - not like losing to them in the league, bad though that is; but it only lasts till the next match, not indefinitely.
