Quite nervous and very excited about tomorrow. 50/50 against Forest. Goals all over the pitch.. even without Chris Wood.
City and Villa are still the clear favourites I feel, with their experienced trophy collecting managers and players in the case of City.

I doubt we will avoid either if we are to win it.
Palace at Wembley for either SF or F (shudder) fills me with dread really.
One game at a time but would relish another SF at Wembers whoever we'd face.

Sadly because everybody is so ruddy excited - even moreso than the last 2 cup runs to the semis where the feeling was always that Man City would win it in the end - we are doomed to a shit performance tomorrow and a comfortable home loss. Think Southampton in 1986.
More excited than Norwich in 83? When the FA Cup was a competition the equal of the league. We are much better equipped to win it now. On our day we can beat anyone.

Would love to own a foam hand that says FA Cup Winners 2025 and I'd say we've a slight advantage on Saturday due to wind direction and the fact we've never lost a FA Cup quarter final to a team that starts with a N,( probably), won't get a better chance than this season so it's a yes we will win it from me plus the Solly factor in that at some point he'll play a major part in our historic win.

So many things I'd forgotten about that game. But the main thing is how poor our squad was compared to now.
Getting two fa cup quarter finals out of that squad and keeping them in the Premier(including the dreaded second season) was a huge achievement that should never be forgotten

The thought of palace v Brighton semi or final sends shivers down my spine, it would be the worst of times or the best of times.
Publicly, both sets of fans would be all 'BRING IT ON'
I strongly suspect however, that in private everyone would be dreading it :ROFLMAO:

Sod it, I think we'll win it.

Like most on here I hate being optimistic but the past couple of months have been great. This is some of the best form we have shown in years and it is a more solid and less flakey style than under RDZ. Increasingly more defensively sound with a sharp eye for a counter attack and a competitive midfield.

Most importantly the players look like they have finally bought into what Fab is selling them.

I'm really excited. Not least because it feels like a proper old fashioned FA Cup this year. All the remaining clubs really want to win it. I hope Bournemouth can turn over City. Then it becomes the best Cup since forever.

Little question (no looking)

Apart from 2008, when was the last FA Cup Final that didn't feature one of (Big Six) ?:

Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
Manchester United
Manchester City
Tottenham

The Big 6 has always evolved though - arguably it has included Everton and Newcastle down the years, and not Chelsea or Man City.

As for being excited, this FAC has definitely captured the imagination of a wider audience than normal. It feels wide open, and there won't be a spare seat in ANY of the quarter final stadiums, which is particularly good to see. Crowds are always big at this stage of the competition but as recently as the 2023 quarters, there were 4-5000 spare seats at Man City v Burnley (51k) and Sheff Utd v Blackburn (25k) and around 1000 at our game v Grimsby.

This is true, although apart from 2008, we go all the way back to 1984 to find a year where one of those names wasn't present.

A rousing start, with constant pressure by us....
As the first half drags out with no success, Forest snatch a break away goal taking the sail out of the players and fans.
half time Forest 1-0 up.

Second half a buoyant start again all huff and puff, Forest are wasting time and yet again we are hit by a quick break and we are 2-0 down with 10 minutes to play.
Forest think they are coasting and we capitalise on 85 minutes to a half empty stadium.

The fourth official, holds up 5 minutes extra time....

Solly March screamer on 94 minutes...

Only to be ruled out for an infringement by Welbeck, VAR gets involved and the goal..... Stands
2-2

Extra time is pretty dull and we end up on penalties in front of the North stand.
Bart saves the final penalty and the Albion win 5-4

That is my guess
Boring, think I will stay at home 😁
