On the app touch the arrow next to the club badge at the top of the screen. Select American Express Stadium and the page will reload.

The Terrace is an option at the bottom of the screen. You may need to register to see all the menus.

Select order ahead and If you are asked for a code enter 2025. This should bring up all the different food outlets.
Jesus. They don’t make it clear where to navigate to the menu on the app do they!

Frankly, anyone entrusting Sodexo with £16 for a burger fully deserves the pre-warmed sweaty disappointment in a greasy box that will inevitably follow.
That's not Sodexo though - they do inside. Yeah, their burgers are poor.

I’ve just registered on the app (I think). Let’s just say that the phrase “user friendly” doesn’t come to mind!

What the hell is Beef Jam?
Is that just a way to make brown sauce sound more up-market?
I often buy bacon jam, maybe it’s similar…it’s lovely.

A savoury jam of sautéed onion, smokey paprika and of course, bacon. Good on just about anything.

Ingredients: Bacon 50% (pork belly 97%), pickling salt (E250), onions, molasses. apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, spices

These aren't just any burgers, these are Steven Edwards - Masterchef winner burgers.
Mmm… good luck to him. Whenever I’ve watched MasterChef, the concept seems to be that they cook and plate one 3-course meal. I may have missed the episode where they prepared, cooked and served 900 burgers plus sides across a 4-hour window.

Ultimately, nobody goes to the match for the food. On this basis, trying to make it a destination-dining experience feels like trying to meet a need that doesn’t exist. Just keep it simple, decent quality, VFM and easy for over-worked, under-trained and poorly supervised casual staff to consistently deliver without f***ing it up too much.

Apologies if I've contributed to that. I'm just genuinely concerned that this could inadvertently have a negative impact on a couple of things I've really enjoyed about the Amex - a beer outside before and staying in the North after.

Also, pretty sure this is very much a business driven investment rather than some sort of benevolent favour from "poor old Tony".
Picking this up again, based on a couple of conversations tonight...

Essentially, I don't think anything has really changed, and you can continue to do just that.

As you approach the Amex, you can open your phone, hop onto The Terrace site and order your drinks/food.

You can then collect them from the pick-up point inside The Terrace and then wander back outside to consume them.

On days when the weather is good - and it should be on Sunday - The Terrace will be fully open, ie the walls will be all pushed back making it a big open space.

There won't be a fenced off area for Terrace punters, so that expanse outside the northwest corner of the ground will be pretty much as it has been for some time now. I'm not sure if there's ever been a limit as to how far around the stadium you could carry a beer (I know there was a beer forcefield line heading back towards Falmer Station), but I imagine if there were limits before, they will remain.

Pity ltd seating and bench style. Wouldve loved somewhere to sit in comfort and eat pre-match but seems chance of seat and service wont be good never mind poor food option so it'll probably never be used.Doubt it will retain many fans post match especially evenings, but if others like it good for you.

Capacity is around 32,000 now, so maybe 4,800?

So, 27,000 Albion fans...

That’s all good, I love standing outside on a nice day with a beer and I think you can take it around the ground except to the station, so there should be an unlimited capacity outside.

I suspect there's a few of those who cough up for the Tunnel Club, let alone the other restaurants around the ground who do exactly that and they have high expectations of the food. Destination dining experience if you like but with a football match obviously.

The Terrace is obviously not that - but from what i can tell looks like dozens of food halls across the country - there's one opposite Victoria Station,. there's one over the canal from Old Trafford (rammed before our match in January and full of fans eating and drinking at similar prices to the Terrace) let alone Box Parks outside Wembley and in every major city. This idea that there aren't 100s of Fast Food outlets in London, Brighton and every city in the country selling fast food premium burgers at £10-15 a pop.
. There are , and there have been for years. Sounds like there's quite a need to me at least !
