I'm not your mum, look it up yourself.
Very useful - thanks. You're pointing me to these I assume?

What is it with these posters who refuse to answer simple questions – to the point where they will follow up with multiple posts to drag the chat away from the original question – and yet they expect people to answer THEIR questions?

It's a shame that the funding Stonewall got has been cut (USAid was not half their income as your post gives the impression). Most was used for advocacy work abroad. As in trying to support gay people who get the crap beaten out of them in Eastern Europe for just being gay.

Do you think?
Edited for accuracy!

In what way?
They have a way of identifying what someone does on their home computer after driving past specific billboard ads in their car. From memory, it was related to location tracking of users signed into a Yandex app (which most Russians are). Reference to it here. For marketers, this is holy grail territory but the likes of Google have refused to do it, with good reason.

Another feature of their products was capturing full screen recordings of what people did on a web page. You could literally read what they were typing, including credit card details, fully unencrypted. Not sure if that’s still the case, that was maybe 7-8 years ago. Only applies to websites with the tracking script installed but definitely not compliant with data security laws even before GDPR was introduced.

Just out of interest, why did you post a link to Yandex? It's not the normal 'go to' search engine for anyone who isn't Russian or promoting their world view? 🤔
Russian propaganda is clumsy and easy to see through, I dont use it for news and a link to the BBC is just that . They also don't collect information for the authorities or I wont be getting the KGB knocking on my door IOW.

Oh I know this one. It's because they are unyielding bellends.

Is this the sort of thing you meant? And presumably agree with?

Last thing I saw Musk say was that some mistakes happen and when found rectified. I found the source for this in the Mirror and its all a bit vague.

That's a fabulously weaselly way of brushing over his fuckups.
What better way to have faith restored in a government, when you're told that mistakes have been made when they didn't need to be? If only they had, y'know, done it properly in the first place.

Thats a snide way of saying you don't understand the issue. If you understand anything about trafficking it requires boots on the ground not "academics at Yale". Looks like a con job, the story has no traction beyond dodgy looking outlets and not even the Guardian will not touch it.

Out of interest, how did you obtain your special understanding of trafficking, greater than my own...?

Well there is the resent hit Film Sound of freedom.

Or CIA handbook,

Why do you assume you are better informed than people you disagree with?
So, you've watched a film and read something on the internet? That's your understanding of trafficking?

By the way, I don't assume I'm better informed than you. It's you who asserted that you're better informed than me, and told me that I "don't understand the issue".
