Interview with Tim Martin

To save you being exposed to Facebook, here's the questions.

1) Why is the beer so cheap?

Come on...we all know why

2) Why do you hate music?

Because he's a twat?

3) Why cant they bring their dog to the pub?

Does not work apparently.

4) What is your favourite drink?

Abbot Ale (I wonder if he drinks this in his own pubs or drinks fresher pints elsewhere?)

To save you being exposed to Facebook, here's the questions...........and here's some completely made up and inaccurate answers.

One man’s dislike of Wetherspoons goes on with false childlike answers

Wetherspoons + Tim Martin - 8th highest tax payer in the UK, paying in total £170 million last year.

8Sir Tim Martin
JD Wetherspoon was named after a teacher who couldn't control Martin's class. The publican struggled to keep drinkers under control when he opened his first pub, now there are more than 800 pubs.

The transatlantic family behind Primark and Fortnum & Mason has also earned well from Ovaltine, Ryvita and Twinings.

Discount chain Home Bargains has made reclusive Morris the richest ever Liverpudlian

Our estimates include corporation tax, dividend tax, capital gains tax, income tax, payroll taxes as well as gambling and alcohol duties, according to the most recently filed company accounts by January 10. These are calculated in proportion with ownership of the company in question. Absence from the Tax List does not imply individuals are not paying their UK taxes; simply that the compilers have been unable to estimate how much they have paid.

You’re genuinely obsessed with Wetherspoons. It’s like the girl who bullies the boy in the playground, because she secretly has a crush on him. It’s kind of cute

"The pub chain - colloquially dubbed 'Spoons' - will remove steaks, mixed grills and gammon from its offerings on Wednesday, May 14."

No more (microwaved) gammon at the 'spoons. The irony.

Come May 14, let me know your branch and table number and I’ll send you a replacement Gourmet Burger of your choice

Hopefully they'll introduce a nice line in oysters and gizzards pretty soon to replace this tragic loss.

Throw in some bone marrow and I might consider it.

I can say hand on heart that I never think of Wetherspoons on a day to day basis. The only time I am reminded they even exist is when I’m in one, walk past one, or when @Herr Tubthumper advertises them.

I’m convinced this is all a guerrilla advertising campaign…

The real irony would be persistent negativity on here from someone who claims never to go in there so won't be affected anyway.....................
