In saying no judging by yesterday's press conference. I must admit I'm troubled by what might just happen today if we were to get a spanking. His body language on the bench might be telling and if badly beaten it's just possible we could get an announcement of his departure by Monday morning. He's passionate and he knows there are some big clubs out there casting their eye on him

I’m in 2 minds - it wouldn’t look great at the first bad run he ups and leaves on a CV of only short spells.
He also has the chance to make a name for himself in the Europa league with a hopefully almost fully fit squad

In addition. It always seemed inevitable that RDZ could get poached by a bigger club.
However losing him to nobody because the club have not backed him and pissed him off would be criminal and failure in my eyes.

Conversely we get a strong finish, win a trophy - against the odds … he goes to a bigger club ?!? Especially as the narrative will feed the Roberto hype… in my book the only way he ever would have stayed is if we progressed into near CL contenders, as I think he likes a bit of an underdog story, but only at the top table.
For us sustainability is fundamentally at the heart of our approach, hence we won’t pay over the odds for championship midfielders… an approach increasingly at odds with Roberto’s career ambitions… and clearly so.
Dewsbury-Hall show his qualities in the PL, this is just a passing season in the second tier.
We paid £30m for Pedro and he’s worth every penny.

I think the biggest danger is Klopp leaving at the end of the season - I don’t think RDZ will go there but it’s going too create a big merry-go-round of managers and he will have a lot of suitors. we should just enjoy having him for as long as possible. Far better to lose a manager to a better offer than to release one for poor performance

The thing is, that our policy is not driven by the needs of the first team.
It is driven by the availability of potentially high profit players.
One of our january signings was a youth goalie.
He will be 6th or 7th in line for the jersey, with a 21 year old international keeper in pole position.
RDZ was lucky that he turned up when 2 of our highest potential players were available as his double pivot in his first season.
They are gone now, and replacements are not ready nor being sought.

The injuries are not the boards fault, the offer for a couple of players were to good to turn down last season, we cannot and will not pay extortionate prices for players, we have to keep within FFP, he is aware of our philosophy and the of steady growth at the club.
He also must be aware and trust the recruitment here, because lately is been sensational.
Countless times I was pleased to hear him mention in interviews “We are Brighton, mmmm we know what we are, mmmm we play our style, mmmm the want to win with passion, eeerrrrr we are Brighton, no!”
whys it suddenly changed, he could be burnt out.
I still love him, and I’m not mad at him, just a tad disappointed
