I sat next to him on a flight to Berlin a few years back. Seeing the photos of him on the train after yesterday’s game, I feel like he has cheated on me.

If you truly love someone, I guess you have to let them go.

We signed him after the end of the regular season but before the play off final had been played. I think that technically we were still a Championship club.
But why was his girlfriend already on a train watching us in the Championship ? How did she get tickets 😂

As Ken Dodd said, "better to have loved and lost than not loved at all".

I don’t know; I was just being a pedant!

Perhaps his missus was watching YouTube vids of us in the Championship?

The club offered security to travel with him on the train and he said no as didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. What a legend.

The best player to ever wear the stripes.
I absolutely agree that Gross has become an Albion legend; but I think there are several players (not least Dunk and Murray who were also essential to our early Premier League survival) who deserve the same status, even though Gross is my all time favourite!

If it's purely about survival, then Duffy is every bit as important as the other 3 mentioned.
But for best ever player, Gross is top of the list of the Prem era players.

I commented on that at the time: "He just doesn't stop".

I seemed to spend quite a lot of the second half just watching him. He's always thinking and directing - his football brain is something else. Jack Hinshelwood will be learning a lot from him - Pascal was often gesturing to him where he should be to give a passing option.:
There was a moment watching the West Ham game on TV when we had to go three at the back with RDZ telling Hinshelwood to move into a more RCB role. You can clearly see Pascal telling Hinshelwood "You'll be fine, you'll be fine". I think those two are really working well together.

Class. Maybe headed to an airport to get a flight to Germany (or a sunny holiday) or something, I'd imagine quite a few of our players have a little bit of time off now given our next game isnt until the 22nd?

Acknowledged by my Stoke mate as "class". Probably not many opposition fans will notice him most weeks as he is mostly dirty work and assists. Definitely in the top 3 Albion players of all time and maybe in the Top 1.

Security for Pascal on the 'Albion' train coming home.
F##k me that's a job so easy even Rishi could do it, (probably). :lolol:
My chief concern for Pascal on that train would be that the tsunami of free drinks offered to him, would see him turn up at his stag do already absolutely twatted.
