Looks miles ahead of Fati currently, IMO.

Took his goal really well, was very unlucky not to have a second, the dribble and pass for Mitoma was very unlucky too. Also puts in a real shift defensively which surprised me. Drifts out of games but that's to be expected from a young winger.

This makes for a very interesting selection dilemma for the next game.

I think Simon has done enough not to be one of those rotated out. March was terrific at full back.

Irrespective of who is back fit, I think we should be putting that team out against Man City

Thought he was great today..always looks to take his man on and very rarely plays a backwards pass..works hard out of possession and when he loses the ball gets stuck in to recover it.

Elastic-like legs today. Still find it hard to tell if he’s left or right footed!

My conclusion following that first half move when he had a shot on with his right but chopped back on his left gave me a fairly good idea

Because you didn’t think it was a good shot? Or because you think he didn’t fancy it on his right?

It was probably the right move to chop back in that situation. Luckily for us he’s happy to chop onto either foot, seen him do it comfortably both ways a few times now.

Oh it wasn't a criticism: I just thought the first shot looked the more obvious one, therefore the decision to cut back suggested he favoured his left. Then again it wasn't a particularly hard shot, so who knows.

I thought he had a great game. Still plenty to improve on, but another exciting winger to add to the collection. And I don't think he's had enough credit for that goal today, as people (including the media) are so focused on Mac Allister's mistake. Plenty of players would have taken another touch once they'd nicked that ball and found the space, or looked for a pass to a team mate. To spot that Alisson wasn't quite set and go for the precision shot there was superb thinking.

Agreed. I think you’ll be surprised to read that his natural foot is his right!

I’ve noticed RDZ a couple of times be apoplectic at Adingra for not chasing back. It’s definitely an area to work on; he is so promising but we simply can’t afford to sacrifice that side of the pitch on the break.

That said, with Veltman behind him we look so much better. I think that’s more a sign of Veltman’s class than Adingra’s increased defensive workrate though
