Not ideal. But some people love to stick the boot in. We are playing twice a week, loads of injuries, and down a man for 30 mins.
I know that the REAL fans take a positive from every game but we should have had the game dead and buried by half time and been in a position to rest players and even get Moder some game time. Instead we were hanging on for a point at times.

That is the real world.
Liverpool, West Ham and Villa and won after playing in midweek and against far better teams than Sheffield Utd.
That is not sticking the boot in, just frustration as opposed to blind loyalty.

You missed the bit about Villa managing it ok then?

Villa aren't doing a lot better than us, in Europe or in the league. They don't have the same kind of injury problems either.

I'm not saying we will end up doing better than them in either competition - but if we do, then it would surely be down to RDZs squad rotation.

Remember, the most important games will come in the final third of the season.

Did you see Spurs at home to Chelsea who are miles better than Sheffield United.

With 10 men it was still Spurs playing better, even with 9 they held on quite well until the last 5 minutes and missed a great chance to make it 2-2 with 9 men before Chelsea scored 2 late goals.

Today with 10 players, against the bottom team without a single point, nobody or not many on here (I'd guess), believed it would be anything more than hanging on for a draw or them snatching it.

We lost our momentum before Dahoud got sent off.
What’s your point? They would never have scored 11v11.

No, we didn't. Second half we had 5 shots with 2 on target and 50%possession vs their 5 shots with 1 on target. Up to the red card we were at 60% possession for the second half.
We were in control until the red and then the game swung completely.

I think you only have to look at Newcastle’s display against Bournemouth yesterday to understand how European games take it out of players. That and injuries which we have both suffered from.
If we’d have got a second goal we would have won it easily but as per the Fulham game we didn’t.
What we do need to improve on is our ability to see out games. Be more pragmatic at times.
We need the International break as we’ll need a strong performance against Forest.
Poor excuse, we made six changes from Thursday. Too many fans being sucked in by RDZ’s whinging about too many games, including the players it seems. We did not win because we didn’t take our chances and it seems the opposition score with nearly all their shots on target these days

I was grateful to get away with a point by the end.

They are already six points ahead of us, unbeaten in about 400 games and we can't win. So they're looking a lot healthier than us currently.

How are Villa managing it ? 13 PL home wins in a row and doing well in Europe
Now now, don’t be controversial and suggest the same players can play most games! Those FOUR extra Europa games we’ve played, which is actually only TWO more than most other Prem teams with Carabou games, has decimated our players ability to perform and we must change 8 players a match.

This.

They have made half the changes we have and still can perform 3 days later.

Should have started with a stronger team. Put the game to bed then bring on the second string.

Only seen the sending off live but looked very little in it. Just looked like he was looking to protect the ball.

Maybe im wrong about that, but even so, i don't see this as a loss which is on dahoud. Without some abject finishing, the game is long gone.

I hope the club is analysing closely the injuries we're getting, as it seems a stupid number. The rotation isn't having the desired effect. Could it even be contributing?

Every team knows all they have to do is hang in and they are likely to get something out of us in the end.
Premier league though . If a team / any team can hang in there even if getting battered then they all have the quality to nick points .
At 1-0 you could see sheff utd start to press more and get more numbers forward . We tried to push them back but the game was becoming super open . That’s why de zerbI was changing it . The way it was heading was playing into united hands .

We prob would have thrown it away even with 11 on but dahouds silliness ensured we did .

Actually think we did quite well not to lose it at the end

Anyone can beat anyone in the PL. Take the point and move on.

No, he didn´t. It was the missed chances in the first half.
The team missed the chances, some of which were half chances. Dahoud put us in that position with 10 men and a lot left to play with a challenge he didn't need to make. These are facts.

From memory the challenge was even inside their half or close to the half way line, needless stuff.

We're not the first club to struggle to perform when playing in Europe as well, and we won't be the last. Other sides have struggled with this Thursday/Sunday set up in particular. In fact, it's so common that it's continually talked about and almost expected.
