They already sacked another one in June so this one didnt last long suggests they have more deep rooted problems that managers cant fix. The number of players they lose to richer(not neccessarily bigger) clubs abroad eventually looks to have caught up with them.

My friend told me they are in a bad situation and don't know how to get out of it.
They sold their best players and bought 12 new 'unknown' and poor ones (his words) as replacement's for this season.
He fears Ajax will get battered in both legs

I dont like going into thrusday's match with Ajax on this terrible run of form....feels there's a predictable outcome for us :-(

Whether Ajax are on terrible form or whether they are just terrible. It might be the later. I just hope De Zerbi goes with a full strength line up (whatever that is thsese days) and doesnt mess about. Can think about the Fulham game later then have a week to rest after that because no league cup.

Utrecht first goalscorer - Ryan Flamingo.

I don't care what he's like, I'd sign him just for the name.
My wife told me to stop impersonating a flamingo. I had to put my foot down.

The match on Thursday is a must-win if we want to progress in the Europa League.

There are two home games left and we have to win both.

Disagree to a certain extent. The term 'must win' is over used, this being an example. I'd say more must not lose.

If we get 4 points from the two Ajax games, what ever way they come, I think I'd be satisfied with that

How many points do people think we need to qualify? 7 from the 4 games left maybe 8
The way our groups gone so far, 7 more points would be enough to finish second. I’d say 6 more would potentially be enough.

So are you saying 6 or 7 more??
7 more I’d say is definitely enough. Means we’d have prevented the other sides getting points in three matches.

6 a decent chance but very dependant on where the 6 points come from and other results.

Edit:

Just checked last years group standings, turns out I might be being a bit optimistic :lolol:

Think it will be a lower points total than average needed in our group because there is no obvious whipping boy.
