Sadly you just know that tomorrow he's going to be summoned and have his membership suspended or revoked.
Yeah but what a way to get kicked out

A letter to the editor in the sport section of The Sunday Times today:

For the Ashes, Sky Sports have enlisted seven excellent commentators - and Kevin Pietersen. He was a superb batsman but as a commentator he hasn't a clue. High speed, repetitive verbiage, stating the bleeding obvious, is no substitute for meaningfulness analysis. The only way I can watch the cricket and preserve my sanity when he is on is to mute the sound.

Bill Daly, Glasgow.

So at what point could England afford to lose Stokes here (assuming Broad stays in)? This isn’t the “do or die” of Headingley, there’s four wickets left. 25 to win? Less?

They are stopping stokes scoring because he can’t run I guess, you wouldn’t be able to set this field if the batsman could run twos, feels like a matter of time before he’s caught.

He WILL be out shortly.
But if he isn't England will win.
England are now slight favourites on Betfair exchange. £98m traded on that market so far!!
Momentum totally with England. I wouldn't say it's theirs to lose but......

Statement from the MCC: “After this morning’s play, emotions were running high, and words were unfortunately exchanged with some of the Australian team, by a small number of Members.

"We have unreservedly apologised to the Australian Team and will deal with any Member who has not maintained the standard we expect through our disciplinary processes.

"It was not necessary to eject anyone from the ground and I am pleased to say that there was no repeat of this as the players resumed the field for this afternoon."

People sometimes question Stokes’ place in the side, but this is why he’s there, nobody else in this England setup could play this sort of innings, probably nobody in world cricket could do it
