There's 20% of the season to go, so I've found a lovely fence to sit on for a while.
The vote is never at the very end of the season, so be preparred to cilmb down soon...

In fairness it ought to be. For example, what if Sanchez saves a penalty in the final seconds of the game v Villa to get us European football? On second thoughts, forget that.

Here and There
Think we have enough games for Undav to join the party… if he starts scoring goals that get wins in our remaining fixtures… he has a chance of endearing himself to the masses.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Solly, Dunk or Gross but for me there are so many times when Caicedo is the best player on the pitch, any conversation about the best DM in the League has to include him … and for me he is the best DM in the League.

Much as I love all the candidates this season I don’t think we have another ‘best in the league’?

So it’s definitely Caicedo Solly Dunk or Gross !!!!!

Just thinking how amazing Gross is.

And Welbz.

And Pervis.

Other days it’s Mitoma. Or Alexis. Or Dunk. Or…

And Caicedo is our best player.

Seriously, how can we pick ONE?

(Ok, two with Young Player award)

Impossible.

Edit: And Solly! Dur!
I was going to start a similar thread with the suggestion that they actually scrap the award this year as it is simply impossible to pick one.

If someone were to stick a gun at my head and told me to make a choice or they'd blow my head off I'd probably say "Gross". Then as they lowered the gun I'd add "Or Caicedo, Or maybe Alexis. Or ..."

EDIT: Just noticed this is an old thread, but still very relevant!

Its simply impossible.
I can't bring myself to vote for any one player because in doing so I exclude others.
I'm out.

Have I missed something? When are the end of season awards?- there is very little time with the season finishing Sunday. Players will literally be flying off all over the world very soon, so what gives?

I suspect our votes will become irrelevant if it's a totally public vote... However, I think I'll be voting for Pascal.
Same for me.
  • consistently very good
  • versatile, played all over the pitch and as captain
  • reliable, always works hard
  • Groß turns, several yesterday too
  • goals and important ones

The answer is actually Estupinan. He's the only irreplaceable player in the squad in his position. We have competitors competing for places in every position apart from that LB/LWB position which Estupinan has made his own. Best left back/wing back in the PL.
Shameless bump of my own post just cos Gary Neville agrees with me…..
