Folk don't like him because he's right most of the time.

As regards this lad, he's a very Albion signing. And very highly rated.
Is he?

I must admit I don't take much notice of him but he seems to start a lot of rumours.

Obviously I hope he is right this time, I agree this lad is supposed to very good.

I also love the idea of us signing a new wonderkid after a couple of disappointing results. Softens the blow somewhat.

Previously linked strongly with Newcastle and connected with AC Milan recently.

With a fee of c£30m mooted before, he'd be our record signing if it happens.
How does that work though. Can a deal be signed before the transfer window opens for a player to join on that date ?

Well, I've got a mate who's a big fan of the drink RIO - and he reckons this Brazilian fella is shitehouse.

Here we no-go!

Worth remembering agents are going to use our name a lot to try and get other teams interested, “well if Brighton are interested then we need to get in there, they know what they’re doing”

He gets very little wrong. That's why he has 14.5m followers. It's silly how people snipe at him. He's only reporting what he knows. When he was reporting on Caicedo and Trossard folk were getting their knickers in a twist. All he was doing was saying what was happening. It's like you saying you are putting the washing out and me saying it's going to rain hard. Then you start swearing and having a go at me. I don't trust anything I read in Twitter about transfers except for him and Naylor.

Look I've apologised for that, it was a bad. Can we please just put it behind us and move on.

. . . But it did rain.

Next time you can put it out for a soaking.

How does that work , signing a player in April
You agree to purchase them with the team they currently play for, they then join when the transfer window opens and the contract starts at that time too.

We've done it for quite a few players, most recently Buonanotte.

We signed him in November but he didn't join until January when the window opened.

Similar for Groß I think.

Haaland also signed for City in March last year or something but wasn't their player until July 1st.

Firstly, I’d be delighted with this Brazilian. He looks to be a cut above the rest.

However, with Romano, you need to think HOW he has got the info and WHY he is spilling his beans now? He is a tap in merchant normally, not a deep lying playmaker in terms of football journalism.

The HOW: Someone wants the player to move. I suspect it’s Watford as their yoyo strings has snapped for this season and they won’t have EPL money in their next campaign. New contracts come with a price, we’ll be paying the price with Mac as he surely has a fee in his contract to allow him to leave (£50m+). I’m guessing Watford won’t be able to afford Pedro’s salary next season so if a suitable fee comes along, they’ll sell. He’ll have a defacto buy-out clause for the scenario of Watford not getting promoted.

The WHY: Watford (like Mac’s Dad) want the auction starting early. There is not a chance we’ll be paying the fee Watford will want for this boy. Romano (having been fed false info by Watford) is using us as a patsy to smoke out the proper £30m+ bids for this player. Think Newcastle, Villa or West Ham. We’d not pay more than £15m for a player like him now, we should have signed him direct from Fluminese for £10m instead of Watford 3 years ago if we wanted the player. It’s sadly too late now. No value.

The cynic says fab taking great delight in pissing off Brighton at the final hour after the abuse he’s received recently

under agent instructions to use our good scouting name to drive up the price elsewhere?

I've not watched him too much, but from what I understand he's not a number 9. More a number 10, sitting just behind a more conventional striker.

Him doing the link up play to assist Evan?

Yep, you can make a transfer in mid-February if you like with it becoming effective when the window opens.
You can make a signing any time you like with it becoming active when defined.

Best example I can think of is Keita at Liverpool.

They signed him a year before he joined them. He had a release clause that would become active the following summer so they paid a bit more than that release clause with the agreement he'd stay at Leipzig until that summer.

This meant he was still on the Leipzig contract terms but with a fixed date and contract he joined Liverpool.

Would be a quality signing if true - liked what I saw of him playing in the PL last season. While he was previously linked with Newcastle, I’m wondering if the valuation will be lower now because he’s got 1 less year left on his contract.
