I am actually anticipating a few changes on Wednesday night, for a freshen up and to manage the squad’s minutes.

Something like this is possible;

Steele
Veltman, Dunk, Webster, Colwill
Ayari, Caicedo
Buonanotte Mac Enciso
Undav

On the working basis that Welbeck and Ferguson are both injured and Steele is fully fit. Minutes for Gilmour and possibly Moran.
i'm sorry but i'm REALLY not sold on Undav , perhaps away to forest mid week is what he requires to get stuck into things.

If we have the same squad to choose from as Sunday I imagine it'll be something like...

Steele
Veltman - Dunk - Cowlill - Pervis
Gross - Caicedo
March - Alexis - Enciso
Undav
The only players who seemed knackered on Sunday were Mitoma and Alexis but I can't see RDZ dropping both. Can't imagine Welbeck will be fit to start either. Probably a good time to start Gilmour but not sure RDZ trusts him

I would pick Webster over Colwill. Forest are a low block and hit you with set pieces sort of team, they caused Liverpool huge problems with long throw ins last weekend, I think aerial ability will get Webby the nod.

I had a different view of his performance on Sunday that many on here have expressed. To me it looked like Webster ( in starting our attacks and stopping theirs) was making a pretty strong case for that position for the rest of this season and the one after.

I think there may well be changes too.

I can’t see how Pascal could run another metre after what appeared to be the marathon length he did on Sunday.

———————-Steele———————
Veltman——Dunk—Colwill—Estupinian
————Gilmour———Caicedo———
Buonanotte———Ayari————--Enciso
———————-Undav———————

March, Mac, Mitoma & Moran to come on if things go very wrong with possibly Lallana making an appearance too. No Moder yet but it would have been great to have another player beginning with ‘M’ on the bench.
That is a proper "balls out" starting XI

I could certainly see us finishing the game with something like this.

Agree, there were one or two stray passes but other than that Webster was good. Adam made plenty of line breaking passes as well bringing the ball out with his feet in a composed manner.

Terrific penalty as well, from someone, who I guess has never taken one in a competitive match. First hand up after the planned 5 takers had been. Ballsy guy, one of the many leaders we have through the spine of our side.

Mitoma just looked dead on his feet throughout extra time and for a bit before that as well. I was shocked he wasn't subbed off for Buonanotte. If he starts tomorrow he is damn good at recovery.
These are top athletes in peak condition is it any different to playing in a World Cup in the latter stages?

Agree. Rob has done nothing to lose the shirt. The kick up the backside appears to have worked
But Steele is better with his feet and that was why he was picked ahead of Big Bob. I don't think anything has changed there.

Generally I agree with resting Mitoma and Gross. Ayari and Buonanotte have looked promising and Billy Gilmour surely deserves some minutes. Assuming neither Welbeck nor Ferguson are fit, let Undav run around softening up the Forest defence for an hour - I can't believe he'd actually score a goal - and then unleash Enciso.

Steele does have that advantage, but to be honest I am happy with with either they are both good keepers.

Thought Pervis and Mitoma looked knackered, I'd play Solly at LB and Buanotte for Mitoma

........................... Steele ............................

Veltman ... Dunk ... Webster ... Solly

................ Caciedo ..... Gross .....................

Enciso .... Mac Allister ...... Bunanaotte

....................... Ferguson ..........................
