[Albion] PASSING ON A TICKET WARNING

I am currently based in Bermuda. A colleague at work here is heading over and has just bought tickets for both semi finals thru one of the ticket reselling sites. The ticket for the Man City - Sheff Utd match has cost her 105 quid. For our game....525. Same block.
And in a nutshell, she’s part of the problem. That’s why we’re all paying through the nose and/or won’t get tickets for the final if we make it. Because rich bellends from all over the world are able to and prepared to pay such amounts for the glory games.

Where was she when we were shit?! And how’s the climate change carbon footprint reduction drive going too over there? 😘

8.4.1 is a bit of a sticky wicket.
Not really. I 'know' some people on another forum really well, some I have met in 'real' life and some I haven't, but through the small group at least one has met up with at least another one so we can verify their existence (we live across the UK). Admittedly NSC is a lot bigger but you still get to 'know' people. People become really good friends via the internet even if they live miles apart.

Muppet 😃. She has been a Man U fan for years and sees them play 4-5 times a year. She will be 70 this year. Good on her. And she is getting me a programme. Sometimes those of us who left the UK have to make these sacrifices. 😘

Post says she’s bought in block 525 for both games ?
That wasn't my read at all.

My read was that the tickets bought for both matches were in the same block, and the price for our game was £525.

Possibly, in fact probably not.

Most of the ticket resale sites are re-selling middle-tier Club Wembley seats which is permissible under the terms of Club Wembley itself.
Does that not, in itself, break the “law” we’re always being told about regarding re-selling over the face value? Or don’t these seats have a face value as they’re not sold individually by the venue in the first place?
Whatever, it’s a terrible mess.

They really have to come up with a better solution to this situation. I know the loyalty points aspect is tricky and there's the whole 'football tickets can't be resold thing'... but there's no problem passing tickets on to 'guests' and corporate members can always bring absolutely anyone they like, so that hooliganism-related ruling holds no water any more. It's madness. If I spend £100 on a ticket for anything else and for some reason can't go, there's often an option to resell it via the retailer. Failing that, I could use a face value ticket site like Twickets to recoup the money. Totally different to touting - can't stand those bellends.

For football clubs to say the ticket is non-refundable and non-resellable really takes the mickey. It seems astonishing consumer law would even allow this.
The issue might be that fans on a ban, for whatever reason, are then able to enter grounds. This would make bans worthless.

Only law about reselling football tickets is with regard to breaking the t&cs of the sale. Most football tickets t&cs say they can’t be resold. Club Wembley tickets t&cs will say they can be resold. Simple as that.
