West is BEST
It’s a bit chilly at night but I can get by without the heating now. Switched it off on 1st April.

I leave it to the timer and thermostat which is set at 19c. When it’s warmer, the heating doesn’t come on, and when it turns chilly, it does.

I control it manually with the thermostat. Haven't used it for a week but just switched it off after an hour warm up as tonight is cold.

Haven’t had the heating on in ages. Live in a new build (well 10 year old) flat and the thermal insulation is very impressive.

Just a shame that it’s combustible and won’t be fixed until December 2024.

The thermostat is set at 16. It kicked in a couple of times today but the evenings are spent with a blanket and I just make sure I’ve got enough on to keep warm during the day.
Our energy usage has dropped dramatically this winter, despite now living in an older, less well insulated home than last winter.

Edit:
Just checked and it’s actually on 14, not 16 🥶

Been off for 3 weeks now, as long as the house temperature doesn't dip below 16C, we seem to be comfortable enough

All off here. And managed to keep it low for much of the winter.

I will be turning it on over the next few weeks.
Daytime is ok, but first thing in the morning and evenings much cooler now.

No heating to turn off - though mid December through Jan does get nippy at night here in Mexico City, so the trusty warm flannel pyjamas do get an airing.

A blanket is more cosey at night watching TV than a blast of hot expensive air for an hour or so IMO
I always watch the tv with a fleecy blanket in winter, plus a hot water bottle, but if it’s really cold my arthritis is extremely painful.

I turned it all off about six weeks ago and nobody noticed. But yesterday I was freezing so put it back on!
