Utd twitter believe he's on his way to OT for £10m.

Anyone got a full tank of petrol?

The second touch for that goal was the one for me. Made the finish easy. First touch was decent, second was world class - superb!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA £10M What is this 1998?!
I know - bless them.

This particular Utd drongo even decide they'd get him for 5 years at £40k a week.

Whatever happened to “he must go out on loan for a season or two in the Championship”?

He’s a top flight quality striker, comfortable amongst his peers, why subject him to a league of oafish defenders?
He’s ready now. Physically, technically and mentally. He’s better than Maupay, Edouard, Armstrong, Diaz etc etc and any of the other £20m strikers people buy. We’ve hit another goldmine here for sure. Because of our recruitment strategy and youth system - Bloom is god 👍

I own that.

If I had my way he wouldn't have played today...

... against his parent club!

Spurs? A few spaces above us, playing horrible football and about to lose their coach and main striker potentially.

I'd say he'd done more than enough, spurs are of course a bigger club than ours but how far behind them do you think we really are? There's a reason so many of our players are attractive to clubs like them, it's because they're better than the players they have.
Financially, and I mean ability to pay silly wages, I think we are still some way behind them.
i have to say that he is unique in terms of what we have had in my lifetime, other than Bobby Smith who was way past his sell by date when he arrived in div 4.

The best club owner, fact.

These are the best of Albion times.

It would have been a perfectly valid strategy. If he'd come back to us next season having scored 30 goals in League1, he and we would be in a very good place. As it happens, keeping him here and playing him has also worked out very beneficially. So, everybody happy then, eh? No complaints I hope.

Don't think he'll go anywhere this summer. Working with him another year will just increase his value even more.

Obviously currently it looks like he might score 15-20 goals in the league next season and then it will be completely impossible to keep him next summer. But another year it is.

Everyone’s ecstatic.

Imho it would’ve been a waste, he was clearly good enough for the Albion first team now. Thankfully RDZ and the club deemed that too.

Fowler, Owen were ready as teens, it often works a treat.

The thing is it idiots like Danny Murphy who perpetuate the total myth that we will bow to offers for our players, come what will.
Ferguson won't be going anywhere for a few years and as for Manure? Ha ha ha......

Pearce or someone today went through the team and valued every player. Uncle Tony doesn't do valuations, Arthur Negus did and the quite delectable Christina Trevanion now does.........

When will the media ever learn?

I think overall, Big Ferg, like many other Irish folk, has had a jolly good St Patrick's Weekend!

He has a big, big future, and hopefully a lot of that will be with us.

Murray said we need to get him to sign a new contract. Pretty sure he has one until 2026 and I assume we have the usual option for another year so that would be 4 years from now. I am expecting a better deal and a bit longer to be signed before the summer.
