Lovely stuff

All goes Pete Tong after 7 minutes.

In summary it doesn't matter if you lie as long as you get elected, post Brexit that's what the Tories do as the default.

From the moment Sunak appointed Braverman just 5 days after she was dismissed for multiple breaches of the ministerial code it was obvious nothing is going to change in the Tories under his leadership.

They're shot....

That Rishi seems a fine judge of character. He obviously couldn't wait for the Raab Bullying scandal to come to a conclusion, or for the investigation into PPE, or for the Russia report to be published and decided he really needed something in the interim
Sunak demonstrating that he is as thick and stupid as his two predecessors. To appoint a rude, overly aggressive prick to lead the Tories next GE campaign is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I'm pretty sure Anderson refers to the interviewer as "love" towards the end of the interview and his attempts to bully the interviewer into not putting the interview out shows what a vile individual he is.

Zahawi, Braverman, Raab, The Hunt. Great to know we finally have a PM that is a good judge of character at last.

All Starmer needs to do each week is to remind Sunak of 30 p Lee's advice to nurses, food bank users, etc and then compare it with his expenses claims. It might get a bit boring, but it should hit home eventually.

The meltdown continues

The former culture secretary Nadine Dorries has announced she is standing down as an MP at the next general election.

Boris Johnson loyalist announces on TalkTV that ‘sheer stupidity’ of his removal as PM led to her decision

presumably it's because of woke mobs or the left wing establishment who forced her into making a fool of herself in public?

They should be. But will they be? Plenty of fools out there...

Going to miss Nads, her ability to be totally wrong/misinformed/ and slavishly obedient to a chancer will be missed. To plough on as if nothing has happened when you have been exposed as ignorant ( C4 funding) and an online bully ( numerous Twitter spats ) while in office was, and still is, remarkable.

Johnson will be eyeing her seat. He can't possible hold Uxbridge

Didn’t Johnson promise her a peerage for the House of Lords?

As an aside, I see Ipsa have awarded MPs a 2.9% pay rise on the basis that this is the average public sector pay rise. What they don't say that even despite this, MPs salary is, in real terms, greater than it was in 2010 whereas the other 'public sector' workers are well behind.

Labour has retained the West Lancashire constituency in a byelection called after its MP, Rosie Cooper, resigned last autumn.

Ashley Dalton won with 14,068 votes. The Conservative candidate Mike Prendergast followed in second with 5,742. There was a 10% swing to Labour and nearly 11% away from the Tories. Turnout was 31.36%.
