Exactly this, thank god! The younger UK demographic are massively in favour of a return to the EU - its just the dewy eyed old farts, fascists and shires idiots who still want out in spite of the ever growing body of evidence that describes the disaster for what it is.

I'd much rather be in the EU than out of it.

However, as I've said on here before, my Company exports 100% of our products - the collapse of the £ against both the $ and € in June 2016 made our products become more competitive to our Customers.

We sold more, made more money, paid more Corp. tax and employed more people.

That was our Brexit benefit.

Of course, there's a lot more paperwork involved now - and I repeat I'd rather be in than out.
Far too sensible an answer for this thread😂

So you didn't actually answer my question. Do you think the third of the electorate are thick or stupid. I realise I am talking to someone who has been head hunted by financial institutions. Lol.
People are complicated so labelling them thick or stupid is not correct but it's very difficult to understand why people still seem to think it was a good thing when last 3 years has shown the problems are not going away and a lot of promises (aka A LOT OF LIES ) were made which were never going to happen. For some it clearly is about dogmatic belief, I prefer to look more at tangible benefits i.e. how has it improved peoples lives and it has failed.

Well after all the export red tape and the 6% extra corporate tax I hope you make a bit more.

Sadly most stuff we import, it also makes debt repayment more expensive.

Sterling crashed in the early hours of 24th June 2016, its never recovered. From that moment our nation was devalued because we imposed economic sanctions on ourselves.

Long Johnson will persist for many years yet...

...or buy anything from overseas
If you think importing stuff is expensive now, just you wait until we actually put some import controls in place (currently pushed back to the end of 2023), something that even JRM has now admitted would be an 'act of self harm' and believes leaving open borders for smugglers and VAT fraudsters is a better option. So much for 'Controlling our borders' and 'Getting Brexit done'

Of course - many more negatives than positives - but there are some benefits - both 'sides' seem so polarised they won't admit it.
Whataboutery of the first order. The dealings with Russia were the point.
Britains dealings with Russia are sordid. But you seem to be ignoring that .

What specific dealings with Russia concern you about the EU? Do tell us.

Watching Putin versus the West on BBC2 now - geez! - what a sPineless, pathetic, self-serving bunch of rubbish tHe EU was! Glad to be out of it - it even made Cameron look like he had a back bone! Sanctions? - yes, but not if they get in the way of us making money, or of they upset Putin - and no way if there are economic consequences to us and our paymasters! PATHETIC!
To be fair you really need a new reason for voting for Brexit after your claims that Brexit hitting exchange rates, GDP, causing Inflation, higher taxes, hitting public services and increasing prices were all just 'scaremongering' :dunce:

But I really thought you might have put a bit more effort in to find something better unless this is really all that's left of your 'benefits' :lolol:

The last 3 years has been built on a lot of bs and lies so we might aswell ignore those fantastic years of believing a liar and a bunch of Tuesdays. (wear a mask, don't see your family lol, oops conspiracy nut job here)
I couldn't care less if we are in, out or withdrawing before the final whistle.
Unbelievably some people are now better off, some others aren't. Tough, that's life.
Wake up in the morning, check your deck of cards, use them the best you can, go back to sleep.
Just don't call people thick, uneducated because they voted a different way.
I don't mean this as an attack on you, unfortunately you were the one who quoted me, sorry.

as I said people are complicated and some have an agenda. Sure some people are better off but I suspect its a very small number, though some of those will have made an awful lot of money.

Leaving the EU is by far the best decision the UK has made since World War 2, Labour, Conservative, CBI, farmers, fisherman, the city all now agree it opens up new and fantastic opportunities, moving from the local shopping area of the EU with its 27 customers and on to the High Street of the world is well worth any disruption, with the added bonus of not having to pay for every new road, airport, dam and bridge in Albania & North Macedonia so they can eventually afford to buy a bottle of scotch from us in 30 years time

Sorry but I reserve the right to call people whoe voted for Brexit thick/gullible or greedy.

In spite of all the evidence telling people Brexit would not only fail to deliver what they were hoping for but would be an unmitigated disaster and leave millions of people worse off, they voted to leave.

That’s the behaviour of a thicko or someone who stands to gain from other’s suffering.

And I’ll bloody well call it how it is whether it upsets the brexity snowflakes or not.

I’ve realised that I can block this repetively dull thread forever by ignoring the OP … a price worth paying :lolol:.

[I’ve been a Remainer throughout btw].

See you all on the football threads.
Awesome !!!!!

You have just discovered "thread ignore".

Sorry, Kingston Seagull, this thread has to go and you are regrettably collateral damage.

Call them what you want. But the people who give no flying either way note your intolerance and aren't going to be swayed to your way of thinking by you looking down on people as inferior.
Even though I disagree with about 90% of your posts, I can see you are one of the good guys so have no intention of having a row with you.
