I know it’s not (in the main) our strategy to spend big bucks, but I was really wanting to stretch our legs on this one. Selfishly I’d love a £30 million pound player to dress up as the new messiah taking us to Europe! Shame it probably won’t happen.

Can you imagine a forward line of

Mitouma Connolly Vitinha Ferguson Welbeck Undav and March

No, neither can I really. A bit too top heavy I suppose?

Well knock out some bloke called Mitouma we've never heard of, piss artist, not signed, injured possibly for rest of season, cant complete 90 minutes, useless, and yes, Solly March looks a hell of forward line.

Going to Marseille. They’re paying release clause, and he’s on his way there for the medical.
Release clause was £26m Marseille paid £28m beating Saints to the signing. I did notice the standard of defending in the highlight reel was atrocious.

Once a release clause is met the player gets to decide where to move. Why would Marseille pay a penny over £26m?

There is zero evidence we were ever even in for him though? Several journalists have said there was never a bid… seems like a load of nonsense to me.
I think the athletic reported that we were but because of Evan being better than we thought we pulled away

That was the official reason anyway
