TBF, in his interviews he seems far more Irish than any of Jack Charlton's team of fake Irishmen!
I would be very very surprised. Grealish and Rice were born and raised in England, with some Irish heritage. They probably played for ROI at youth level because they thought they had a better chance - then switched when England came calling.
Ferguson is clearly born and raised in Ireland, with an Irish footballer dad. Despite having an English mother, I imagine he would very much see himself as Irish.
I'm saying all this with absolutely no knowledge of any of those players' preferences or identities, of course. But it would take a lot for an Irishman to switch allegiance to England, one would think.

Not just Morgan on the cricket side - could also mention Boyd Rankin and Ed Joyce, and there's others who've technically switched allegiance (so they can more easily take up County contracts) and thus weakened what should have been a stronger Irish side over the years. Slightly different context, though, to be fair - Ireland being a fringe nation in cricket with opportunities few and far between.

I don't believe he'll switch allegiance, the boy is Irish. Grealish and Rice really aren't, Martin O'Neill spoke very clearly on this issue recently - he included them and wanted to get them to play but he couldn't force them to declare for ROI and it was always unlikely because neither of them are actually Irish. They just wanted to play International football. Evan Ferguson is a proper Irishman, there's no doubt in my mind he'll be playing for them by choice and not necessity, unlike a lot of the players in that squad.
